La Cucaracha
I worked in Ibiza for a few months in 2006. While cleaning up for the reopening of a restaurant, I saw my first flying cockroaches. Not for the faint-hearted or people who get heart palpitations at the sight of spiders on the ceiling. Unfortunately, the chef was also a cockroach, son moron, who thought it was funny to let lobsters run through hot fat. So that was then for me only a short intermezzo and I sailed back to Mallorca.
Botafoch is the name of the port where I was "stationed". When I went to the port in the morning, there were often still party people on the road. The El Divino is namely also there, then the disco. And in front of El Divino all the "boats" parked. There the Roberts and Carmen.........Ludmilla and Ivans, Carlos and Juanitas sat on the deck and sent the skipper home when they wanted to go out. When I tried Oud Divin a few months ago, I thought Divin -> El Divino -> Botafoch. That's what it must smell like on the boat when Carlos and Juanita are getting ready for dinner. And now I have for Juanita also a fragrance - Alameda.
Alameda could also be called Patchouli Divin, truly divine. Alameda is a hot sweeper, has fire, is not boring. Yet Alameda simply means avenue.
First I think, oh now you've picked out something sweet again. But the start is citrusy and then lilies and roses should come. It smells but for me initially after tuberose rose with patchouli and I feel castoreum in conjunction with the lilies then as a slightly aasiges floral water note. But really just a hint, and that's what makes the scent so appealing to me. Yes, of course it's sweet, because I like sweet. And it's powdery and I'd swear there's tonka or vanilla in there too. I recognize, I think for the first time, the cuddly sweetness of amber and I can name it.
As a guest, I like to come to Botafoch, first eat nicely and then by boat to Ibiza Town - go out. One flies yes not long from Mallorca to Ibiza and knows certainly someone who has a house with swimming pool and there is also no shortage of hotels.

Dream Garden Alameda

"Piguet simply can't disappoint"...I have to say again and again as soon as a fragrance from the house of Robert Piguet gets into my hands.
I have wished for Alameda for a long time and I knew that one day my dream will come true....
I was so excited about this perfume and imagined all the pictures in my head of how Alameda will be, how will it affect me.....I asked myself: "will Alameda touch my soul just like some other perfumes from Piguet?"
Since yesterday the long wait had come to an end: "Oh yes, that's exactly what I wanted and imagined, only much better!"
The perfume is so wonderfully balanced - nothing stands out, everything is rounded, almost creamy, very soft and melodic.
Here I am greeted by the wild strawberry, flowery, bitter, wood, caramel, amber and sweet notes. Not at all overwhelming opulence, on the contrary - everything is so incredibly finely tuned and delicious.
The woody and slightly bitter nuance makes Alameda appear deeper and more elegant.
A slightly acidic wild strawberry brings juiciness, freshness and new colours into play, it becomes sparkling fruity.
The scent warms and refreshes me at the same time, enveloping me with its cloud. There is something piquant, even Oriental about it, which contributes even more to this harmony here.
It is a feeling of entering a magical garden, where everything looks so dreamy and fairytale, where intoxicating, enticing essences exude the scent of bliss and serenity.
This mixture of exquisite ingredients is a real pleasure that unfolds nobly and splendidly on the skin. Over time, the fragrance becomes even more majestic and attractive. And it lasts amazingly long What a sparkling, fascinating beauty is this Alameda!
For me, Alameda is a perfume that radiates joie de vivre and a positive mood, that is bright and sunny! But also this special depth and magic, which captivates and takes your breath away...
This is pure elegance in the bottle!
Many thanks to Jensemann for the opportunity and pleasure to meet the Alameda!
Dreams can truly come true, I feel very comfortable here, in my dream garden Alameda!

Ceaseless red wonder
When you are staying in front of a supermarket shelf, while wondering, how is possible to put 300% fruit in one bottle of marmalade (of course you find it out sooner or later), that is the same feeling as wondering, how was that tremendous tons of flowers put into this black bottle.

ALAMEDA could be even offensive, if the surface of the fragrance would not be so smooth. The scent is consistent and strong. Consistent...? Even compact.

This beauty is sweet with an overtone of bitterness, soft and ladylike, caramell without being gourmand even for a second, at the end, behind the courtain the patchouli shows itself, but only to make ALAMEDA more flowery, deep and warm.

Do you like orange blossom? Alameda is for you.
Do you like feminine/flowery fragrances? Alameda is for you.
Do you like exuberant and uncompromising perfumes? Alameda is for you.

It is not recommended for a fan of light, girlish scents, for people who dislike when a perfume wants to be stronger than them, and definitely for people who want to hide in the crowd.

Wear it proudly, elegantly, with straight back. Or do as 5desierto5 mentioned in her wonderful review, sit at home, drink a mug of hot chocolate and sink into the depth of good feelings.

90% for longevity, 90% for sillage, 90% for scent. I dislike the bottle, because can’t see, where is the level of the liquid inside.

The exotic gardens of the Alhambra in a bottle
An exciting fragrance, full of passion and ardor. Alameda reminds me of the opera Carmen by Bizet, with the gardens of the Alhambra (Granada-Spain) as performance background.
It makes an almost indelible impression on my nose and my clothes: still smelling her the next day!!!

The best seasons for Alameda are autumn and winter, because of the warmth and sweetness of this delicacy made by the house of Piguet. Imagine drinking a mug of hot chocolate, with a fresh waffle as an afternoon snack on the side, sitting by the fireplace in a country cottage, up in the hills of the Ardennes...

Inviting and cozy, a warm (amber) bath, a sweet mocha liqueur burning in my stomach, a loving embrace...these are the sensations I get after a dab of this olfactory nectar: it's time for a full bottle!
