marzocco by roberto ugolini bespoke shoes - an extremely upbeat perfume that radiates good mood. edgy, somehow cheeky and absolutely unique!

in general, the brand has been my fragrance house discovery of the year 2020 - because it combines under one roof several of my absolute favorite perfumers. for example, the very much appreciated by me christian carbonnel or chris maurice who is also very active for xerjoff and countless other brands - or the fantastic maurizio cerizza to name just two of the world-famous masters. the entire series is under the creative direction of the legendary herbert stricker aka the nose behind.

roberto ugolini is actually a world-famous custom shoe manufacturer based in florence. from the friendship between herbert and roberto arose over time the idea to create their own fragrance line. based on the pronounced fragrance passion of robert and the extensive wealth of experience of herbert could only be grandiose... for me personally remarkable is that I actually have not found a single fragrance from the series that does not fit for me. of course there are the favorites like marzocco and blue suede shoes - but in terms of quality, there is not even the slightest compromise in any of the works.

never again without my ugolinis! :D

Ice candy with charm
My 3rd fragrance from this brand, which I bought in 2023. I simply love these fragrances, especially when you can find them at a fair price. There are so many fragrances in the range that you can easily integrate into your everyday life.
This Marzocco is already the most popular under the Roberto Ugolini brand. I think it is the brand's bestseller alongside 17 Rosso. This Marzocco seems to be particularly popular among men. But this is true for the entire brand here on Parfumo. With 2% female owners, I can only recommend it to the ladies: Try it. This fragrance is absolutely unisex for me. This sweet-creamy-fresh DNA could suit anyone who simply wants to smell clean and seductive. I personally like fragrances like this and with Musk Therapy by Initio I had a fragrance that goes in a similar direction.

The packaging is consistent. All 3 of my fragrances from this brand came in an orange box that folds open. This one officially costs 194€ like most of this brand. However, a third of the price is still off in some stores, which is fair for this quality.
Marzocco is a clean fragrance. Not boring-clean. It is well-groomed, seductive and creamy.
The best thing in my opinion is the top note. Not because the base is not beautiful, but because it is quite close to the skin and the performance unfortunately does not drop off quite quickly towards the end. That was also the reason why I was a little worried about whether it would even make it into my collection. But: If you are looking for a nice fragrance for in between with a wonderful top note, here it is. Those looking for Beastmode performance should go for Musk Therapy.
As I said, the top note is the highlight for me. It is simply clean, sweet and creamy, well-groomed and has a slight ice-candy vibe in a positive sense. A very classy DNA that you don't come across often and is also positively striking. It is hard not to like. You get creamy mandarin, which is convincingly fruity and fresh and has a lovely creaminess. Delicate floral notes quickly follow, which don't come across as too feminine. 2-3 hours really a very seductive fragrance that exudes uniqueness and pleasantness. Unfortunately, the base is very, very weak, which is something to bear in mind. Close to the skin you get a fluffy musk with wood and some sweetness, which doesn't radiate very well All in all, I still think it's a worthwhile investment because you can wear it all the time and it's very unique, classy and simply pleasant. Roberto Ugolini would recommend an Intense due to the popularity of Marzocco, which performs similarly to Musk Therapy for about 10 hours with good sillage. DNA has a lot of potential.

In conclusion, I can say: If you are looking for a clean, creamy fragrance, you will find it here. There are deductions in the performance. With a good discount, it's a good catch that is sure to receive one or two compliments.

Childhood is a lifelong pursuit. Woe betide us when it catches up with us!
Marzocco is a sweet-spicy perfume, which at least at the beginning raises associations with Ahoj Brause and takes me back to my childhood. The fragrance opens very tangy, sparkling and slightly fruity with a nice citrus accord. Although officially mint is not listed in the notes, the composition has a pleasant freshness. As the eau de parfum progresses, it takes an exciting transformation. A beautiful, subtle floral bouquet of orange blossom and jasmine spreads out and is enveloped by a creamy, powdery vanilla. In the base then shows a tart-spicy character, which is brought to an end by dry woody tones. Overall, the composition is very smooth and invigorating. The shelf life settles at seven hours (+) with a moderate projection.
---------------------
Verdict: Marzocco is a very playful, unique and pleasing fragrance. Immediately after spraying on, the creation catapults one into a good mood and exudes a summery flair. Citrusy, creamy, sweet and fine, just like sweets from childhood.

Quite surprising
Actually, I had written a fairly negative statement about Marzocco.

I had to delete it! Marzocco is much better than thought.

I still think that the top note smells 1-to-1 like a Fishermans Friend candy. This makes Marzocco for me the first 1.5h unbearable.

Then the fragrance but changes in a completely different direction. Creamy, fresh and interesting with the peppermint note. Really times a new idea and what other, as what one usually knows so.
The sillage is decent and the durability better than you expect from such a fresh fragrance. So you must not be deceived by the first impression.

The question is only one buys a fragrance whose prelude is unbearable (especially for the money)? This question I must now answer for myself and I say: No!

All in all, Marzocco is but a real surprise!

Tu sei speciale mio amato Marzocco
Roberto Ugolini's Marzocco is one of the house's most popular fragrances, and rightly so.
The fragrance comes with a great story, and RU's marketing is generally very successful. A Schumacher from Florence who lends his name to create perfume in the spirit of the Italian dolce vita in Florence is a really great story. Then there are the beautiful bottles, which are simply eye-catching with their leather labels and horn caps and are reminiscent of the theme of "high-quality shoes".
Then there is the name of the fragrances, which are always inspired by Florence. 17 and 4 Rosso are the old and new addresses of the manufactory and Marzocco is the famous lion that watches over the city. The violet color of the bottle is also the city color of Florence. Incidentally, the fragrance was developed by and with Herbert Stricker.
But enough about all the trappings... now to the fragrance itself:

All marketing is useless if the content is not right... but fortunately this is not the case here.
The Marzocco starts off wonderfully sweet and fresh. Mandarin is supported by other citrus fruits, but remains smooth and does not turn into a pungent freshness. There is already a certain mildness to the fragrance here. The whole is embedded in a delicate floral note.
I really like the orange blossom... as with Orange Flamingo, it gives the fragrance a sophisticated undertone without becoming feminine or disturbing the freshness.
The combination of these aromas can actually be remotely reminiscent of the smell of ice candy. But of course much higher quality and more sophisticated.

The fragrance is perfect for spring and also for summer up to 25 degrees. And interestingly, it can even score points in winter thanks to its vanilla sweetness.

This composition is simply addictive... this delicate freshness with the beautiful florality and vanilla sweetness makes the fragrance a great overall package. The fragrance also reminds me of something from my youth... but I still can't say exactly what it might be...

The longevity is really okay for a fresh fragrance. Lasts me through the working day and in winter on clothes certainly the whole day.
The sillage depends on the dosage, but is really okay. It is simply great as an uncomplicated daily fragrance.

It is a nice round and pleasant fragrance. Not a beastmode fragrance or a shocker... on the contrary. It fits in everywhere, never stands out negatively but I am happy every time I smell it again.

...that's also the theme: the fragrance makes me happy.

Rarely has a flacon entered my heart as quickly as the Marzocco.

Tu sei speciale... mio Marzocco
