really?
None of us would seriously declare ourselves enslaved!
No, we're all emancipated and so free at all ...

Roja's Enslaved questions all that!
Aren't we all who hang around here, slaves to our desire for scents?
I have to answer this question honestly!
I already knew that before I was allowed to get to know "Enslaved" - many thanks to the donor of this sample!

A surprisingly fruity top note welcomes me: I stroll felt through a grove of shady citrus trees whose fruits are ripe and invitingly fragrant: voluptuous and ripe!
How much I love the scent of carnation (the flower of the engaged) is known. The spice delights me again and again - not only because of nostalgic feelings: the bouquet of carnations was obligatory for coffee invitations in the past!
Rosengeranie is always scratching me a little at first, but here it is quickly dominated by the force of the gigantic jasmine blossom: this "flower goddess" owns the stage!
A somewhat old-fashioned rose here exudes its enchanting scent; the tenderness of the orange blossom not only caresses the soul - no, all the senses!
A golden net of Ylang-Ylang (one of my special lovers!) is pulled over the previous scent; it's really magic!
The basis of this enslaving fragrance is simply fantastic: oak moss and vetiver provide a great deal of earthiness: dark green, juicy, moist and extremely sensual!
The eroticizing vanilla meets the always somewhat powdery iris: they enter into an extremely touching partnership!
The air vibrates - everything moves! The senses are awakened!
Moschus stimnuliert, Labdanum quietly scrapes the already sensitive surface of heart and soul: Hello! Are you ready??
The spicy, silky-sensuous cedar surrounds with wide open arms and whispers: "Come, come to me!"
What remains is devotion! Devotion to a golden magic - Amber closes a fragrance circle that touches heart and soul: it is accomplished!
I have been a slave to my not always desired feelings for some months now; maybe that's why it's so easy for me to follow "Enslaved" - to devote myself so totally: for many, many hours!

My acquaintance with Rojas is still young: and I am known to be extremely critical!
But still "Enslaved" totally devoted!
Maybe my feelings here are subject to "unconditional surrender" - who knows?
Maybe I am in bondage; maybe I try to capture dreams: "Enslaved" makes dreams come true!
Gagged, tied up - makes you dependent! And very happy!
"Unconditional Surrender" - that's it!
"Enslaved doesn't take prisoners - enslave it! Full and complete and reckless!

Those who are not willing to surrender are better off keeping their distance!
"Enslaved" is ruthless and generous!

Roja created here a fragrance that takes and gives at the same time!
Don't be afraid: this scent demands everything - but it also gives everything!
My soul and my heart have been in chains for a long time: "Enslaved" is symbolic for it!
"Be careful!" says the mind; "Let it be!" says the feeling!

Really: It's your choice!
But think: "The Winner takes it all!"

Don't even think about Leia in the slave costume from Star Wars!
Enslaved?! How do you come up with such names? But what may sound controversial for the time being (probably especially for the Americans with their past in slave keeping), the name is related to the scent. So you're a slave to fragrance because it's so good that you can't get rid of it, etc... Roja himself said that he wanted to create a fragrance where you're enslaved to fragrance when you smell it, that is, you become a prisoner of love. Bah,... how gooey that sounds :D

Anyway, through my title you have surely already seen what I had to think of again. To Leia from Star Wars (Episode VI), where she's in a damn hot slave costume while she's Jabba's prisoner. And Leia is just one of the coolest female characters! Forget Rey from the new movies, or Padme from the second trilogy, neither of them could ever keep up with Leia like that, I think :D ... oh I could talk about Star Wars forever, and I don't even like most movies that much, yeah you wouldn't have thought that, would you?

But now I don't want to digress any further and drive you away again, no, I want to tell you something about this scent here or how it smells like that and whether you really become a prisoner of love when you smell it...

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins right at the beginning with a variety of fragrances. In the ascending scent, one perceives mostly "only" resinous notes with cloves and neroli and sweetish jasmine as well as general floral notes, but on closer inspection one can make out a little more. First of all, there are carnations, as already mentioned, which give off a slightly sharp scent, but which also go well with the slightly heavier floral notes, which seem like ylang-ylang, but smell less sultry. Neroli is one of the main scents, at least in my opinion, because I can perceive this scent very well, as well as the resinous scents that should come from Labdanum. At the beginning there is also a slightly dry-floral (but I don't mean stuffy) note in the background, but it gradually disappears. The oak moss also appears pretty much at the beginning, which becomes stronger and stronger in the course of the fragrance. The citric scents listed in the top note are almost imperceptible to me.
Towards the end, the fragrance becomes softer and softer. One still smells resinous scents with neroli and a little carnation, the jasmine says goodbye gradually and in its place now emerges beautiful amber, which continues the sweetness of the fragrance. As the fragrance is now slightly softer than it was at the beginning, when you smell it exactly, it also seems a little powdery, but good, this is probably also due to the iris and vanilla :)
A really nice fragrance, but also a bit old-fashioned and you have the feeling to have had such fragrances under your nose before.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is good, as one is used to from Roja. The Sillage is even very good at first, because I could smell the scent very well even with outstretched arms. In the further course of the fragrance the Sillage weakens a little, but only in comparison to many other Roja fragrances, which stay stronger longer. But you can smell it very well with this scent in any case.
The shelf life is also as long as usual and you can smell the fragrance for more than ten minutes.
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and looks damn high quality. According to the description, the bottles should be manufactured in different countries and contribute a lot to luxury, as the golden elements such as the writing on the sides of the bottle and the gold on the lid should consist of real gold (or gold particles mixed with metal). The places of the Swarovski crystals on the lid seem to be closed here, so that probably no crystals were used here as in the perfume variant of the fragrance. On the neck of the bottle there is the brand name, the label is also gold-plated and all in all the bottle is quite high quality and beautiful, but there are more beautiful flacons (I like for example the flacons, in whose lids the crystals were embedded, much more).

Soo, the fragrance here is also successful and smells high quality, because you can smell nothing synthetic about it. My points of criticism would be at most the following two points: Firstly, this fragrance has oakmoss, which not only smells by the way, but already comes across quite strongly and so the fragrance is certainly not for all those who do not like oakmoss so much, because it makes a fragrance appear a bit old-fashioned. And secondly, I have to admit that the fragrance didn't really come across to me in a very special way, but more like (or almost like) a 0815, a fragrance that smells good, but that's how you often had it under your nose, probably even with one or the other Roja fragrance itself. Therefore the fragrance is not worth to me a lot of money, what is demanded for this fragrance (about 300-400 Euro... for 50 mL!).

But if you don't mind all this, Enslaved gives you a beautiful, classic and mature fragrance with sweet, floral, resinous and soft notes, which could be used for beautiful, elegant evenings. Especially on cooler days in autumn and winter.

I myself do not become a prisoner of love through this scent (which I find the love, should still take a long time anyway :DD),... bah, it sounds kitschy with the prisoner of love...! So I'm going to stop now and think about Star Wars again, because I've been thinking about it a lot lately, especially since I built a spaceship out of Lego from the movies and now love to get a new lightsaber. And now just say NOTHING, NOTHING, I know myself that I am nerdig, so pssssssst!!!!

So, have a nice evening and see you next time :)
