romantic luxury
Two "commissioned works" for the house Roja I have as bottlings available and now had to decide in advance, which comment gets the preference: will it "Bergfeld" or but "L'Oscar"?
Both fragrances are worth discussing.

A look at the website, which promises that L'Oscar is "one of London's most romantic hotels", immediately takes me the decision.
At the moment I'm more in the mood for a stay in such a house than for a visit to a shopping temple in Manhattan, no matter how glamorous it may be.

The very first spray transports me to a posh reception area, where the fireworks of aldehydes capture the sparkle of polished floors and expertly arranged mirrors and light fixtures, while the freshness of bergamot and mandarin suggest airy generosity.
Fine, I like it; this is where I will feel comfortable and linger!
The now opening lush bouquet of early summer flowers also inspires me immediately.
Here, a connoisseur of the fragrance world has instructed the Grasse gardeners exactly how many of which floral beauties should be tied into this bouquet of scents and where.
The early summer promise of pink May roses, fine-aromatic neroli, delicate orange blossom and fragrant violets is wonderfully realized.
Spicy garden carnations here meet lovingly entwining fragrant and flowery jasmine and ylang ylang vines: an adornment for this bouquet.
A more tart, compact note is now brought by rose geranium, while dark purple heliotrope expertly replaces the usual vanilla.
Thus, the transition from the floral-opulent heart of the fragrance, which gives the illusion of a luxurious romantic boudoir, to the no less impressive base is very well done.
Because the "vanilla bridge" heliotrope leads directly to the tonka bean, which allies itself with the proud iris: both give this previously so radiant bouquet of fragrances a rich powdery note.
Resin, wood and spice accents distribute themselves tastefully, while leather and musk still disagree about which of them may represent the crowning finale of this fragrance creation.
This once again makes use of our little not quite clean sneaky cat; she leaves her animal charm and already the two reaching for the final appearance "quarrelsome" are in the second row!
And Roja's "L'Oscar" gets a fine animalistic final applause!

Floral, aromatic, sensual, feminine - "L'Oscar" is all of these in abundance!
Once again, was clotted, instead of discreetly blotted and once again fits yet every nuance, however small, so exactly to the other, that ultimately nothing but a luxury fragrance kaleidoscope can arise!
So offers a persistent stay in the midst of this romantically great scented scenery, which is left to enjoy everyone himself.

I have now once this preference for luxury in general, luxury hotels in particular and therefore I could "L'Oscar" immediately in my heart; I quickly became at home in the midst of this pompous fragrance world!
And my preference for the fragrances of this brand should also be known by now.
After all, a little "Pomp and Circumstance" in everyday life does not hurt!

(Hm, is now missing a Tusch to the conclusion or only a red carpet?)

Creamy soft wrapped.....
Thanks to a lovely perfuma I was allowed to test this truly "noble drop" today.....my big thanks to the donor :-)....

L'OSCAR smells freshly flowery-creamy and pleasantly clean for my nose.....Aldehydes provide a discreet soapiness at the beginning, which - in my opinion - recedes somewhat in the further course......Though I don't appreciate soap at all, it might still be too much for me.....

L'OSCAR is a bright and gentle fragrance that envelops the wearer with an exceptionally well-groomed and flattering aura.....I like that :-)....

To my great amazement, I notice a clear similarity to MADISON SOIREE (Bond) in the first 10 minutes....both fragrances "sing" essentially the same song.....with advancing fragrance development, however, a serious difference becomes apparent, which undoubtedly makes L'OSCAR my favorite:

BOND plays this song on synthesizer strings...

ROJA on a Stradivari.....

Powder slut or baby powder?

To confess right away: I'm not the type for powder tufts. Not even the romantic pussy. Not even with scents. Therefore I am completely unaware in the field of powdery fragrances and I divide these for me actually only in two categories: Powder slut and baby powder.
And l'oscar clearly falls into the category most exclusive baby powder-edel-level cream ever! The animalism in the scent is on my skin and in my nose at most that of a warmly sleeping baby, the fine down hairs slightly sweaty pressed to the head.
The prelude consists of a full charge of aldehydes. A few months ago that would have been the end of the scent for me. In the meantime, a curious effect has occurred. Aldehydes no longer send me immediately to the tap and soap, but fill me with a quiet nostalgia, a memory of some of my mother's fragrances, of the time of onduled hair and hairspray clouds. And because of my newly inflamed love for vintage fragrances, I also know that this sometimes quite penetrating top note can also evaporate quickly.
And this is also the case with l'oscar: practically immediately, flower powder - violet powder, rose powder, jasmine powder, carnation powder and several other varieties - trickles down on me in an overall delicate composition. By tender I mean by no means inconspicuous, but rather that the floral scent, which can be overwhelming to narcotic in perfumes, must submit to the powder here.
The base, which once again uses the proven Roja base combination of seasoning, wood, resin and musk, is above all one thing: powdery, with a touch of cream. Relatively late I can only recognize a hint of animalism: a hint of leather perhaps?
Nevertheless: Nothing with dirty powderluder, but flattering soft, innocent powder scent.

How is it now that such a fragrance finds its way into my collection, which otherwise goes in a completely different direction? Maybe it is the subconscious memory of security as a baby, because I wear this scent when I am completely under land professionally and when I then feel some olfactory comfort and luxury as absolute necessity in the evening after what I feel is an infinitely long day.

And I'oscar covers this need perfectly for me! Both the comfort and the luxury!
