Pepe smokes a hole in the ground
Pepe lay laughing on the needle-shaped forest floor. He had just pulled his face out of the hole we had dug for hours, several cubits long. We had dug a furrow in the damp ground, put one arm in it and then tapped the earth on top of it. Everything was brown soil, dry leaves and ethereal needles. Kneeling, I then crouched at the bottom of the long hole and lit the sticky little grass flower with my zippo. Probably we hadn't waited long enough after the harvest, the stuff was still as moist as the forest floor. Pepe anyway had put his mouth and nose into the hole at the upper end and inhaled his emergency spray like an asthmatic. Is something getting through to you? I called upstairs as Pepe turned on his back with a gasp. He's okay! he clawed back. Who has seasoned the forest floor? Pepper, leaves, needles, soil, bits of it. I don't even know if the resin is from the plant or the tree. We giggled like children. I told you! I said, before I turned on my back, I had at least as much earth, leaves and needles on my face as Pepe
Well, as I swayed through the sky between the conifers with the swirling clouds, the scent began to merge in my subconscious, the needles crawled back into their woods, the resins became lighter, the soil more balsamic, like warm incense dipping into patchouli. It was also the incense that stayed, silent like the whole forest, only for a few hours, then we left soon

"Forest" is a quiet coniferous forest, in which at the beginning light swaths of cannabis wander between ethereal green, smoke and pepper, before it develops into earthy, resinous and balsamic oriental incense. Unfortunately, it only stays on my skin for about four hours and is always moderate. At no time do I find it to be synthetic, but to me it seems rather natural, transparent and beautiful.
