Roses are red... no, leathery!

So, I come today with the fragrance Calimala by Salvatore Ferragamo, which was formerly listed under the name "Leather Rose". I don't know exactly what Calimala still means, but as Arte di Calimala a guild was named in Florence, which were important fabric finishers, clothing manufacturers and merchants and also had a lot of influence. This guild belonged to the noble guilds, whose members had many chances for social advancement as members of the "lower" guilds like craftsmen.
It may be that the fragrance was named after a noble guild, because Tuscan Creations is also the more noble fragrance series of Salvatore Ferragamo. But that's just a guess, if someone knows better, he or she can give me a little wise shit in response to my comment :D

Later, the roses are the main focus of attention, as they have the most intense fragrance. Only back to the base you can smell a few more scents, although the roses still smell very intense there. In any case, the fragrance in the base is softer due to powdery scents like vanilla and the suede comes through a bit better again, even if the scent should generally remain weak compared to the beginning. All in all, Calimala is a very beautiful fragrance that is worth trying!
The silage and the durability:*
The Sillage is good and you will surely smell good for a while with this scent, as you are already wrapped in a small, nice cloud of scent. The shelf life is also quite good with over eight to nine hours.
But of course that doesn't have to be bad, because the roses smell authentic and beautiful, but you have to like roses, and roses are not everybody's thing. With the roses, the fragrance not only looks very feminine (so for me the fragrance is also a pure women's scent and not unisex), but also a little more mature, so it's not necessarily suitable for the younger ones. As an occasion, I would actually only recommend the evening or going out, as Calimala is certainly not a fragrance for the office, at least not in this radiance or intensity.
It's definitely worth a look. In addition, the fragrance has nothing synthetic about it, has a long effect, is strong and, as mentioned, smells good. Since the fragrance smells very much like roses and the leather does not return or become extremely weak later on, I also think it is good that the name of the fragrance has been changed from Leather Rose to Calimala.
