"Suzuro" is an ancient Japanese word and describes, in this case, someone doing something "in spite of himself, without knowing why, what the heart longs for". At the time of its launch in 1976, Suzuro was priced at 50.000 JPY for 30ml, while for example the price for 10 kg of rice was 2740 JPY and the rent for a detached house within the 23 wards of Tokyo was 35.000 JPY. Therefore, Suzuro is the most luxurious perfume in Shiseido's history.
