Last Minute Captivation
Having spent the afternoon at a Sisley counter chatting with the engaging staff, getting a facial and makeup (I'm a lipstick only gal and will probably stay that way), I was hungry and ready to leave. A sales clerk added this sample to my bag and I thought, "what is this?" and put some on. Heaven! Jasmine is my favorite floral and that's a big part of why, but Tea and Juniper take the rest of the credit. At first I mistook them for carnation. Their appealing green astringency keep this from smelling like every other perfume on the block. The top note is an inviting combo of citrus and spice, the pepper not overdone. Musk and patchouli are at their best in the well-balanced base. This perfume is simplicity raised to high art. Not every fragrance can pull it off. Here each note carries its weight while blending beautifully with the rest. Had to buy it. My guess is it will become a favorite summer fragrance.
