Izias Rose
Actually, there are too many stories to tell here one for the second time.
But since also a second fragrance beauty appears, which carries the pet name of the doyenne of the company Sisley, I will break nevertheless with my resolution and write down the history of "Izia's rose" once again.
Everything else can be found in my comment "The pet name of the doyenne" to the fragrance "Izia".

Isabelle d'Ornano is still the heart of the cosmetics company Sisley and its perfume branch, founded by her late husband Hubert.
She is now 83 years old and has spent much of her life composing different fragrances.

One scent, one rose in particular, has done it to her: that lush climbing rose that blooms every year for only two weeks in May, diligently climbing up the fence of the tennis court at home.

This rose was brought to France by the young Comtesse Izabela Potocki as a memento from the rose gardens of her family's former Polish castle.
A refugee like her, who made her home there in a foreign land in the gardens of the country estate;
this "Rose d'Ornano."
For the name of the rose is unknown to this day; even exhaustive research brought no result.
But its heavy aroma displaces all other fragrances in the short time of its blooming and is thus worth its weight in gold as an essence for a perfumer.

Already in the fragrance creation "Izia" we encounter her mature, sensual beauty and also in "Izia - La Nuit" this rose fragrance forms the romantic centerpiece.

Her balsamic fragrance drifts in heavy clouds through the nocturnal park.
Already in the orchard, where bergamot, mandarin and blackcurrant greet fruity-fresh, she reminds us of her presence.
Her fragrance presence settles over this fresh-aromatic prelude and just leaves room for a cheerful freesia bouquet and the delicate porcelain magnolia blossom.
Even a rose goddess needs her fragrant admirers, her companions!
This rose leaves no doubt that it pays homage in the first place to the woman to whom it owes its existence here. What would have become of her in Poland?
At this powerful supremacy in the fragrance fabric change also the golden brown earthy beauty of patchouli and the resinous spice labdanum nothing.
Creamy creamy white vanilla adds a final good dose of feminine sensuality.

So accomplished, "Izia - La Nuit" bows to the grand dame of the Sisley company, the charismatic Isabelle d'Ornano.
The pride of being able to pay tribute to this special woman, and likewise to all other women, makes this fragrance creation an elegant companion through the night.
A few enchanting hours she gives us, then she retires quietly and nobly.
She leaves behind a charming floral breeze and a whispered "Bon Nuit".
Not to mention her knowing feminine smile ...

Like a well-known cream ...
Before I go into the connection with known cream, first in general to the fragrance...

It smells very high-quality, rosy, creamy, pleasing. I wouldn't call it fresh, tangy or youthful, more classy and deep. But not heavy.

You might not think it as the wearer, but it scents the entire room pleasantly rosy. Not a sweet artificial rose and not a stale one, but a "real", natural one.
Although it doesn't smell youthful, it doesn't smell stale, as I said, rather classy. I think any woman can wear it.
In the beginning, it reminds me a lot of regular Izia. Then he transforms.

Now for my association with the cream...
It smells like Nivea cream to me after a short drydown. Like the classic one in the blue and white metal jar. Really, I feel the scent as if I came out of the warm bath and creamed myself with this cream all over my body. Bathrobe over it, cuddly socks on and off to the couch.
Cozy, comforting, well-groomed.
And looking at the fragrance pyramid of the cream's perfume, I agree. The fragrance notes have a lot of similarity to each other.
Would this be a cheaper alternative? For me personally: only from the smell, the performance of the Nivea perfume is unfortunately underground. So ultimately: no.

Conclusion: beautiful, noble fragrance with great quality. Gladly times test

Elegant - seductive French companion
This noble water has pleased me at the first spray. A very feminine- seductive fragrance with a long reverberation. I see a very elegant - with a tiny trace of carelessness dressed Parisian woman walking slowly to her office down the street. The sound of her heels is like a call but also a little staccato. You know she comes here every morning, sometimes you hear her deep sensual laugh. She is like an apparition you can't escape, a pleasure to meet her in the morning - where might this beautiful creature go.....her scent lingers in the air for a long time, a hint of freshness that seems bold and confident, it then transforms into pure femininity through this noble rose. This perfume is one compliment to femininity and pure seduction- oh lala. The finish is woody, slightly powdery- sweet. Not the sweetness of candy scents but this fine-refined and quite purposeful use. Like an encounter with a warm fresh meringue placed in a wooden bowl and decorated with Patchuly leaves. Deeply inhale this exquisite fragrance accord, delightful. I do not see a girly here but a sensual-erotic "woman". An excellent secret weapon for us women to shape the day or even the dark night according to our wishes. 30 ml start with approx. 106 Euro, a precious water which will find its attention, of it I am firmly convinced. This lady wants to be conquered, but is also equipped with all facets of seduction, who has the courage can be on it.....the brand Sisley is a guarantee for top quality.

Summer in the Vienna Woods
Currants and roses! I can hardly think of a combination that is more summery than this - provided you imagine a Central European summer, in Germany or, as in my case, in Austria. A garden, infinitely large for an eight-year-old, with constantly new secrets, hidden corners, hidden passages, with trees so huge that there is enough shade underneath to bear the July heat, with daisies, with a white picket fence that suggests safety and protection, boundaries within which you can completely indulge in the ever new discoveries, the many different flowers, the small insects and the whole, full summer pleasure. And in front of this fence: currant bushes, gigantic, with plump red berries, and in between, fully blossomed roses that have not yet succumbed to the heat, because this childhood dream tells of days long gone. Snacking on the rather sour berries, the pleasure of brushing them off the panicles, sticking your nose in a cool, velvety-soft rose... and then lying completely relaxed on the checkered blanket in the middle of the grass, the large piece of sweet watermelon, biting into the middle of the crescent-shaped slice with relish, the buzzing of bees, the fluttering of lemon butterflies... what a paradise, a garden day in midsummer in the Vienna Woods.
I like to think back to that time, and I always do when I wear Izia la Nuit. I'm immediately back in my mother's friend's garden, enjoying those long, bright days full of leisure and lightness. Izia La Nuit makes it easy for me: the juicy, fruity blackcurrant at the beginning, which allows the full, dark rose to shimmer through after a few minutes, from then on dancing a round dance together with it in perfect harmony, immediately makes me think of the scent of that garden, in which blackcurrants and roses alternated. A wonderful perfume that presents an extraordinarily beautiful composition. What I particularly like is that the autumnal notes of labdanum and patchouli, which gently come through after a while, take away the purely fruity sweetness of the fragrance and ground it in the truest sense of the word, making it mature. For me, it is very pleasing that patchouli is not too strong, not used too characteristically, which is often too much for me. Here, it is wonderfully subtly interwoven, but clearly distinguishes the fragrance from a gourmand. Overall, an incredibly beautiful, cheerful, full and elegant fragrance that I don't necessarily associate with the night, but wouldn't really classify as summer either, the earthy notes prevent that. It's the perfect fall fragrance that evokes the sweetness of summer once again, but also doesn't hide the fact that everything beautiful is fleeting, that the bright days are ending and the time of harvest is beginning. Pantha rei - perfectly embodied in Izia La Nuit.

Just for fun..
I already own the big sister Izia, so I didn't really think it was necessary to buy the La Nuit version, I just wanted to "have a sniff".
at the beginning the resinous spiciness (almost harsh) led to irritation, my reaction in the first 5 seconds: no, meh? no no..

But then my nose continued to sniff my wrist and within a very short time the fragrance developed into a fragrant, spicy mixture of an earthy (but not mossy for me) labdanum and a soft, deep, noble floral/rose scent.

Bergamot and mandarin are initially pushed away by the labdanum, the berry rounds off wonderfully without taking center stage and the vanilla, as a warm background, only really comes into its own in the dry down.

I could still feel the fragrance on my wrist the next morning. I am totally surprised by its longevity, it definitely lasts longer and longer than its classic Izia sister.

Conclusion: I love the unique Izia rose scent in this perfume too, on my skin it smells seductive, deep, rich and natural. So it's now on the "would really love to have" list.
Incidentally, I think it's a great all-year-arounder!

Perfect dark rose chypre. It reminds me on E. A. Po's The Raven, Emily The Corpse Bride, some dark and deep forest. Very gothic, I adore it.
