Apple Pie at the Fall Festival
I was really impressed by this fragrance. It opens with apples, apples, apples- most are sweet; some are tart; a tiny few are sour and all are covered in caramel. There is is a slight cider vibe here. Ahh, cider! I found the opening quite strong, but I love it. It fades down relatively fast, and this is certainly not a linear fragrance.
The spicy notes remain present as the pastry notes develop. The buttery pie crust/pastry notes are very realistic. I found these heart notes very nice, cozy, nostalgic and yummy. The drydown is very soft and reminiscent of gingerbread. The fragrance really is evocative of fall festivals: apple pies, apple picking, cider making and walking around, trying to keep your caramel apple on it's stick.
The projection/sillage is strong for the first hour or so, but it then fades to a more intimate fragrance. The longevity is practically endless. CAF has to be washed off in the shower. The price is quite reasonable, and the oils are very inexpensive. I think may need this fragrance.
