Rootbeer delight
Opens with a sharp, yet sweet root beer. No effervescence, so it reminds me more of a root beer candy than soda. Next it moves through a phase where I get reminders of head shop incense, as the dragon's blood, Palo Santo, and frankincense become more apparent. The sharp root beer settles into something more vanilla as it dries down. The dry down is creamy, woody, and faintly musky. This smells like the same red musk I love in Monarch from the same perfumer, although far less of it is present here. I'm not quite sure what the appropriate time and place for this scent is, but it's very nice and certainly unique. Projects strongly for an oil. I have not tried this in the alcohol-based format, but from my experience with Solstice Scents I would expect it to be sharper and bitterer compared to the mellower sweetness here. That seems to be the trend for most of her oils vs EDPs.

Bitter Sweet Sassafras
Started out very lovely, I adore Dragons Blood and root beer so I thought I would instantly love this one, but there was an underlying bitterness that somewhat challenged me. Apparently this is one of those oils that truly benefits from a good long rest. I found the old sample of this that originally prompted me to buy the FB and it was all rich dragons blood resin and creamy root beer. the bitterness was all but gone! my best advice is let your oils rest and try them again
