My favorite gourmand fragrance of all time
I always say I’m not a gourmand person, but this one right here may by the one to finally change my mind.
Rose Custard Kulfi is a cozy, SWEET, slight spicy, and syrupy dessert style scent with just the faintest touch of rose, citrus, and nuttiness. It’s absolutely delicious and makes me physically hungry when I smell it. I can see why this wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, as the cardamom + saffron combo packs a punch here and the scent itself is absurdly sweet. But to me, all the notes here work in perfect symphony with one another. Sure, the opening is a bit much, but once the scent has a chance to settle onto your skin and mix with the air around you, it’s absolutely stunning. I really didn’t expect to fall so in love so quickly and so hard.
I was hoping the rose would be stronger here, but I’m actually very happy that it doesn’t dominate this fragrance. The performance is great, with a moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. My roommate walked into our apartment the other day and asked if I was baking something. I told her nope! It was this perfume! I think this fragrance could work well in cool and warm weather (with a light hand), day or night. So happy to have the a full bottle in my collection. I’m in love!
