Campfire in the woods

It took me some time to appreciate this scent. Definitely not for those looking for a crowd pleaser. This is a smoldering campfire in a bottle.
The opening is very sharp, pungent, and intense. Frankly the opening is a little rough and off-putting. After about 5 minutes it settles into a smoky, woody, slightly resenious scent with great longevity and projection.
This fragrance is really good for layering with other fragrances that you want to give some pop or depth to. Layering with this can also add some dimension to some of the more linier or boring frags in your collection.
This is a must for those that like bold and unique fragrances.

Dry forest areas in the middle south

During the search/filtering for certain ingredients you will find some unknown scents. When I was looking for cedar junipers, Texas on Fire was a favorite. Birch tar, cedar juniper, labdanum, vanilla and Texas cedar sound like a direct hit. At that time only the aftershave splash was registered here. But luckily I found out on the manufacturer homepage that nearly all scents are also available as EdT.

Currently 98 products of Stirling Soap are listed here. There is a single evaluation against this. This always keeps you in mind how infinite the universe of fragrances is. Because the presentation of the shop and the variety of the products (soap, after shave, shampoo, deodorant, balm, lotion etc.) do not point to a backyard soap boiling plant endangered in its existence.

The orientation seems to be closeness to nature, sustainability and down-to-earthness. And if you look at the owners that way, that's what makes them happy. Very far away from Dubai, Paris and London, glitter and glamour.

And Texas on Fire smells as rustic. The start is very smoky, combined with resinous coniferous wood. Pleasant and not close to choking to death. Then the smoke disappears and gives way to an unusually darkly murderous earthiness. A really interesting twist, which the Labdanum demands from the three rough woods. However, we always stay on the dry southern slope in the coniferous forest. We have worked our way down from the trunk/wood to the roots/earth. It is pale and dry on the surface and only after a few decimetres becomes more humid and peaty. Forest floor level!

22.$95 for 50 ml EdT. I haven't had that in a long time. The strength and durability are absolutely fine. The Sillage is medium to restrained. The bottle is not a feast for the eyes with its green glass, but the atomizer works perfectly. It comes in a plain cardboard box. And here we come full circle with the philosophy of Roderick and Amanda Lovan. Natural, cosmetic articles for narrow money and anyone.
