Multifaceted, fresh - floral, citrus, minty, lineny
Sampling Strangers Parfumerie Oliver, which primarily has a citrus/floral blend at the center—clean, fresh, slightly sweet. This has a lengthy note list but I get a mix of magnolia, mint, sea salt, grapefruit, pink pepper, oakmoss, olive, petitigrain, sandalwood, and “clean shirt.” It’s quite multifaceted, a lot of outdoorsy vibes with something restrained, with the clean linen shirt vibe bringing me back indoors after a minty opening. Overall, it’s a very agreeable medley without jumping off the page, genre-wise, except it’s so clearly expertly blended, a virtual symphony of notes all harmonizing so well, yielding a highly versatile, year-round concept that would work just as well relaxing as out and about, trying to impress.

A staple sort of unisex signature scent that’s quite a departure from the other freshie, the sweet & tart Yuzu Soda, which I tried yesterday, and its’ great to have another warm-weather-friendly option from this house that I continue to be very impressed by. Certainly this doesn’t perform as well as some of the heavier gourmands but it’s still pretty sturdy, in my opinion.

Oliver has the line’s standard EDP pricing, at $80 for 30ml, and is sold by Luckyscent and Indiescents.

Call me by your name...
...is the movie template for the fragrance Oliver. Yes, I watched the film in OV, but I found that films are as much a matter of taste as perfume (no matter how well they were rated). At least I'm not including the 2h in the evaluation.

With Oliver, Prin Lomros has created an incredibly interesting and atypical fragrance. A fresh fragrance without many citric agents. A balancing act between lightness and the special.

Only in the direct opening do slightly citric elements flash up. It is rather the combination of apricot, quince and petitgrain that make up the fragrance for me. Without the fragrance pyramid I probably wouldn't have gotten to the fruit varieties, but yes that could actually fit. The whole thing is fresh, but has a slightly oily-sweet scent texture reminiscent of summer, sun, sea and beach. Light-heartedness and casualness, yet wearable for any occasion. Ambergris and tobacco play a clever, albeit subordinate, role here. Magnolia could be good too. The combination creates a fragrance that is somewhat abstract, by no means synthetic and from the ground up sympathetic. He has something of freshly washed laundry that hangs in the sun to dry and absolute feel-good atmosphere. You just want more of it and the scent makes me smile.

I could imagine that Tom Ford wouldn't have thrown so many light blue blue green turquoise sea neroli flankers on the market if he had succeeded with Oliver. Prin Lomros had an exact picture in front of his eyes and it is amazingly fitting and beautifully realized. Regardless of how I like the film, you can feel that he wanted to create a special fragrance with Oliver, which is probably close to his heart.

The 30ml bottles are simple and functional. The spraying unit is great. The Strangers I've tested are all very interesting and worth a look. I have rarely tested a series that comes along so uninfluenced with its own idea. Chapeau!

Funny quote from the packaging:
"...AVOID SPRAYING IN THE EYES. IF YOU NEED TEARS, PLEASE WATCH SAD MOVIE..." ;-)

Oliver loves Elio
Part two of the story of two lovers pours Prin into its own fragrance. It stands for Oliver. Elio's father's doctoral student.

24. American. Extroverted. Big. Blonde. Good-looking. And almost a little arrogant. A sunny boy with
of his brown skin and the scent of the beach that surrounds him. The casual "Later", which he announces at every opportunity as a greeting. An intruder sleeping in his room. That's how Elio feels about him.

Start.

Quickly, the impetuous older boy (on his way to the man) becomes an inexplicable fascination for Elio and, the more time they spend together, he always seeks his closeness.

And Prin summarizes all this in "Oliver."

His Sunshine. His Smile. His Later!

Thus Oliver is a mixture of the scent of sun-tanned skin and slightly citric-aquatic nuances. He's a beach vacation in a bottle. He radiates light-heartedness and joie de vivre. The complete opposite of the melancholic sound of "San Clemente" - Elio's scent.

And yet there is a wonderful fusion of the two fragrances in Oliver. He's got Elio inside him. As united in love, this warm, almost introverted and at the same time wonderful aura of Elios shines through again and again. Cotton, resins and grass through the summer sun of Olivers.

As on her first morning, when it was no longer clear where one began and the other stopped.

One forever.
