All beginnings are bitter?
Honeysuckle. I see. I learned from Mrs. Neuffer that the aroma of honeysuckle has to be recreated for perfume purposes. In this respect, speculation is probably permitted, especially since my own almost fossil memories of it do not allow for anything else anyway.
I smell honey-warm and white-acidic-patched incense with a floral aura hovering over it, but I certainly wouldn't have thought of jasmine. In addition, I find a rather bitter note almost from the beginning. Spontaneously an association with 'Cuir de Lancôme' jumps at me. There the listed hawthorn probably teased in a comparable way.
That would be all right if the bitterness didn't become excessive in the course of time. With a thought of Tauer-Gummi-Vetiver I can't get any further, it looks more floral. Once again I have in my mind a diffuse shrub with thorns and berries, which I associate with such a smell - without being able to name it.
And while elsewhere progress brings relief, '1948' prefers a metallic addition to bitterness and blows through the afternoon in penetrating immutability. I can't see perfume in it anymore, it's just smell. The fact that the threshold of the tolerable may just be considered to be observed is solely due to the overall low volume.
Conclusion: "All beginnings are bitter" - or what? I hope for an increase with the two following siblings and thank KingLui for the rehearsal.
