For Valentine's Day
Today, when I got up from bed at lunchtime, I expected to see red roses - as usual on Valentine's Day.

But no, instead there was a package from my dear friend on the table.
O how beautiful !

And it included Sylt from the perfumer Bork, who had also given an expert talk on TV.

My girlfriend had the pleasure of attending one of his seminars.

And Sylt really takes me to the North Sea.
I have never visited Sylt myself, but the original North Sea beaches do
And this light fruity - aquatic scent reminds me of walks on the beach, where the stiff breeze plays with my hair - and the clothes flutter around me loosely.

The gulls sail on the wind - and laugh down to me.

I think of Bach's gull Jonathan - and laugh back.
As if they know my thoughts, they perform flying tricks.

Everything is so light and floating - like the scent.

Jasmine and rose blend with the salty sea breeze - a distinctive blend.
Ambergris sets a sweetish counterpoint - and sandalwood nestles against my skin.

The scent is so airy and free - that I want to swing with the seagulls on the wind.

Sylt is fresh - but not cold.
So you can wear it well even in winter.

Just like the cardigan my husband adores me - instead of roses.
I think it is a fitting complement to the fresh sea breeze.
