The orange blossom gets a violet
I find the idea of dedicating a group of fragrances to a specific theme very beautiful.
I was hooked by Kovex's fabulous commentary on Oranzo and since I like orange blossom very much anyway, I looked at Mrs. Delacourte's website and ordered the five-piece sample set on the subject of orange blossom.
The website is in my opinion very sympathetic and appealingly designed and the sample set is also very affordable. So I did not hesitate for long.
Although I was told that it would take about 2 weeks with the delivery, the set was already within a week with me. Very attractively packed and with a nice booklet about the theme fragrances from the house
Kovex has already provided very valuable information about Mrs. Delacourte, I can't add anything more.
Now I tested myself through the 5 orange blossom scents and found out that they are all very different. And I also think all 5 are good, even if some more and some less.
The orange blossom also appears more or less clearly in all fragrances.
I like Oscarine very much, because the fragrance has been extended by another flower facet.
But first of all I notice an interplay of fresh citrus fruits, I cannot recognize them individually, but they appear very natural and authentic. Nothing is pointed or sharp or seems artificial
The orange blossom also plays a role, but is not leading the way here. Sometimes the orange blossom is accused of being a little too stuffy, too pompous and too waxy. And the sweetness can also become too much from time to time.
This is not the case here, with Oscarine the orange blossom is restrained and harmonises very well with all other notes.
Very quickly a very beautiful and fresh violet note is added, which very quickly takes over the main role and remains present throughout the entire fragrance.
The violet is still accompanied by soft green aspects, but these do not dominate either.
Oscarine surprises me with a very pleasant and unobtrusive presence. The fragrance is not loud and strong, but surrounds me with its fine and beautiful aura. All in all the fragrance seems rather cool to me.
There is also no big change, but that does not bother me at all. Heart and base notes mix softly with each other.
The shelf life is quite good for a light and fresh scent with about 7 hours, a large scent veil it does not spread. Also one or two sprayers too much would not be a drama.
Because of his freshness and the rather quiet nature I see Oscarine more in the warmer season than now in autumn or winter. On cold days the scent might get a little lost.
The fragrance is indicated as a unisex scent, but ladies might be more attracted to this scent, as it is very floral overall and has no distinct edges and corners.
As is well known, I myself take little care of the classification and do not shy away from the ladies' department anyway.
And I always had a heart for flowers :-)
All in all, this fragrance series certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel, but we are presented here with beautifully crafted fragrances that are very well crafted and definitely worth sniffing. And certainly also an access.
If you enjoy unagitated flowery fresh scents, you can access them without any worries. I can also imagine that a fragrance from this series could move in with me.
I like Oscarine best from the series together with Oranzo and Osiris.
I thank Kovex for the unintentional but successful fixation ;-)
