No, yes and no!
The first thing you can notice is an intense and heavy sweet flowery note, which also has a certain light soapy aura.

This flowery note also has a strong powdery, cracked note, which is perceived by many noses as old-fashioned and here the "ladies version" is meant.

Unfortunately Messiah tried to imitate the smell of opium with different scents.

Has this succeeded? A very clear no!

Opium, the juice of Papaver Somniferum, i.e. the opium poppy, smells completely different - in Messiah the smell of the opium poppy flower was imitated and it should be mentioned that no flower of the opium poppy has soapy olfactory properties
Has this succeeded? A very clear yes!

In Messiah I smell mainly Damascus rose, sandalwood, carnation and coriander, which come closest to the lilac opium poppy flower in the right mixing ratio, but this is not the smell of opium.

Opium smells like wet mud, on which a bucket of rotten fruit has been poured, and has a very extreme stuffness and tropical stuffness, which makes you stick your nose like syrup and you don't get rid of it as quickly.

Opium even smells like a corpse at a distance.

Within 30 minutes the light soapy aura is dimmed a little bit without losing its heaviness and intensity and is enveloped by another fine sweetish note, which you can't assign at first because this note still builds up, but after a short waiting time it clicks.

1.5 hours later this note can be identified as Patchouli, to the sweetish note mentioned above is added a very fine earthy hint and you know what?

It smells like fresh rain-soaked, slightly cool earth, which has already been warmed up again by the sun's rays, but you have to put your nose to your pulse to perceive this "earth", but if you carry Messiah correctly, this aura does not appear as it does on your pulse.

In the course of time it is also unfortunately the case that the scent becomes "unpleasant", old-fashioned, powdery and faltering, and some will understandably be inclined to want to neutralize the scent, since Messiah's end will unfortunately not be more pleasant.

Should one wait?

From me a clear no!

In total, the fragrance lasts 7.5 hours on my skin.

The Sillage is conceived from the outset in such a way that one is clearly perceived at half an arm's length and this is maintained also 3 hours in such a way, before it reduces itself in leisurely steps, until the smell finally completely fades away.
