My first niche fragrance
It was an icy December afternoon and I didn't really want to buy anything.
Shortly after Christmas, I went into a Schnitzler store to smell a few niche fragrances for the first time. I was at the very beginning of my perfume journey at the time and wanted to broaden my fragrance horizons. Full of curiosity, I looked at the extensive range and after just a few seconds I was besieged by an employee. He showed me a lot of fragrances and none of them appealed to me... a little annoyed, he then went into a corner and approached me with three more bottles. He sprayed each of the fragrances onto a handkerchief (I found this rather inelegant.... why a handkerchief?) and what can I say..... Blue Heart picked me up immediately. I was mentally transported to a tropical spa. The gray, cold, wet weather was forgotten. None of the other fragrances smelled as interesting to me. The employee sprayed Blue Heart on my wrist and I bought it immediately. The coconut note is so beautiful and I think it lingers for a very long time.
It's been a good year now. I don't think I would buy the fragrance again today. Thameen is a great house and Blue Heart is definitely a great fragrance, but after a few hours it becomes too masculine for me. After the coconut fluff fades...it gets really really smoky. I'm not sure if that's from the nagarmotha or the saffron, but I'm not a fan of it. I still love wearing the scent to parties because it smells really great for hours like vacation and luxury, but then the smokiness comes through a bit.
But because it lasts so well and you don't have to spray much, I'll probably have some of the perfume for a few more years and who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with it again. Incidentally, the bottle is super pretty and looks great in my collection.
