Clean, green florals!
Well this is clearly not what I was expecting. I thought I was going to get an enormous linear blast of fresh, tart, tangy citrus with some florals in the background but I got something else entirely! My expectations were clearly not the same as reality.
This is what I would call a clean scent: fit for any moments where you need something inoffensive and pleasant. When I first sprayed it on, the petitgrain did not hesitate to snatch up the center stage. I smelled a clear green herbaceous scent with a delicate and uplifting background of citrus. It's not the juicy, tangy citrus, but more of a powdery, fresh type of citrus. After about half an hour the scent shifts into a fresh green scent (probably because of the neroli, jasmine and orange blossom). It's giving clean, soapy vibes: soothing and calming, perfect for unwinding and taking the time for self-care. It smells a bit like luxurious soap from the olden days, but for me there is something nostalgic and delicate about it. That's what I'd want to smell like if I'd bathe in luxurious designer bath and body care: soapy, fresh, sophisticated. This scent ended up lasting on me for a longer time than what I had read in other reviews. The base notes are somewhat shy as the clean, soapy scent stays on my skin until it faded away.
I'd say the main accords on Parfumo are somewhat accurate, although I have to place the emphasis on the green and citrus accords. The powdery accord stays at the edge, brought on by the white flowers, but never disrupted the scent to me (I'm not a fan of powdery scents). It's not as fruity as other perfumes I've smelled, although I get that the presence of citrus fruits might have brought on this aspect on other people's skin. It's one of the perfume that stands out in my collection for being a bit different. Makes me want to explore green accords a bit more. I'm just sad it has been recently discontinued by the brand. I'll have to enjoy what remains of my only bottle!
