Good idea half-heartedly executed
Wolle was asked to comment on a perfume because they weren't sure to what degree the scent smelled alcoholic. There was, of course, a luminary in this field: Wool. So they booked him for two crates of 0.5 Pils. Udo as Wolle's manager also negotiated three Sanifair vouchers. So the crew travelled from Herne, emptied several kegs of beer during the long journey. They had to go to Marl, after all about 20 kilometres away. There they arrived late because the station police arrested them for a short time because of causing public nuisance. The reason was Hottes revealing appearance, which showed up in the miniature version of a tartan skirt and thus provided for increased psychologist expenses in the near future.
Anyway, we reached Marl, unofficial headquarters of the Fragrance Engineers. Before they left, they visited the tinkering Prin Lomros, who surprisingly knew German: "Something is missing in the Nekro Dellamorte....I already bled in it and did my little business but there is something missing..."
On par with Prin and his produce, Udo suddenly said, "Wamp brothers, it was too much beer, I have to..."
And so he threw up, that too unfortunately in Prins Nekro Dellamorte.
"Hey, what are you doing? My scent...wait a minute! The missing ingredient! That was it! Blood, semen, urine, and of course, vomit! Silly me! Thanks, Udo!"
So they finally moved on and then tested Entendre.
"Smells like an old classic leather scent. Neatly alcoholic in prelude, that must burn!"
"But I smell iris in there too, don't you recognise that powdery note mixed in and melting away in the olfactory woosh?"
"Yes I do, but what is it? Brandy? I had to think of pear brandy at first but could also be your maternal grandma's home distilled brandy, Hotte!"
"No, it burns more. Udo, now stop drinking Entendre!"
"It'll soon be over with the powder for me. I smell leather, but with more of a woody tinge. That could be an old oak barrel that whisky has been stored in. And there's leather hanging in there now, soaking up the rest of the aroma. That's what it smells like to me!"
The Fragrance Engineers, real names Basti Pollito and Fridolin Leopold Ottokar Ysidor Dankwart, whispered and noted.
"Wait a minute!" exclaimed Wool.
"the schnapps is getting too shallow for me. Should there be some tobacco in it, perhaps? I've got some Roth Händle."
"It's already in there, can you smell it?"
"No."
"Oh."
"Lasts a long time and smells good but the intensity drops off rapidly. Like Bentley Intense in shallow and not bold. Or what do you think, Udo?"
"But there I do not get rappelvoll of."
"If the leather would at least come through but this is only slightly sharpened and otherwise seems generic. Like with a pinch of juniper but nothing more."
Entendre is from the basic idea a well-thought fragrance with a balanced alcoholic note, which you can hear more often in old fragrances or even in old leather fragrances to some extent. It is discreetly herbaceous, but overall it lacks passion, dedication and so Entendre falls flat and above all fails to really carry you along. Too bad, chocolate.
