My nose!
So if I didn't know better, I would say my nose went on strike at this scent and refuses to cooperate. I just smell a lot of different flowers here. Which would actually be quite nice, but something is spoiling the flower garden quite enormously. I can't say for sure, but my suspect here is definitely the hawthorn, but maybe the cedar wood is playing a false game with me.

In any case, this floral component is like a fragrance bell that lies over all the others and presses them down. After a short period of time, you can actually only smell the hawthorn/cedar and perceive all other fragrance components only more or less discreetly. My above-mentioned nose does not find this fragrant. The scents vanilla and tonka bean are obviously busy with other things and therefore almost absent for my sense of smell.

But the fragrance perception in particular and in general is very special for every person and what one likes doesn't have to please everyone.

But I would like to emphasize this beautiful perfume bottle in any case. This color gradient in blue and gold and as a highlight a small gold chain around the beautiful neck, so this has already the certain something and is an eye-catcher in every collection.

Beautiful fragrance
A few months ago I got this "The Merchant of Venice" test set (male and female La Fenice) as a small thank-you from a perfumery and I couldn't do anything with it at first because I didn't know the brand "The Merchant of Venice" either. At home I put this set in the closet for a few weeks and almost forgot it there. At some point I looked for something and looked into the cupboard and then I saw the set again, pulled it out, removed the foil and just tested it. I have to be honest: Before I sprayed it on, I thought to myself: "Ohwei, this won't end well for sure" but I was, at least partly, fundamentally wrong!

Fragrance:
The scent is sweetish but by no means disgustingly sweet (in the sense of sweets or the like) and has a slightly fruity start, no idea, probably the mandarin? I don't know how hawthorn smells, I only know hawthorn from garlic mistletoe hawthorn capsules (medicine) but I've never smelled hawthorn alone. Afterwards it becomes slightly flowery and somehow Mandelig but now not marzipan or something but... i don't know how to describe it, but it just smells good! After only a while it gets really nice woody-vanilla (similar to the Layton in dry-down) and very minimal smoky, whether it comes from the tonka bean or cedar wood is unknown to me but it smells so incredible good, delicious, creamy and sexy. If it wasn't for women, I'd buy it now!

Sillage and durability are in my opinion quite good, with me the smell held over 8 hours on the skin, although not as strongly as at the beginning but still erschnupperbar.

I must confess: Every now and then I take out the sample, spray it on my hand and just enjoy the great smell (even if it's for women).

If I had to choose between La Fenice pour Femme and La Fenice pour Homme, I would clearly choose and prefer pour Femme! To be honest, I didn't really like Pour Homme and after some time on my hand I started to smell unpleasant and sweaty, so the pour femme is a thousand times better.

Where I'd wear it? Work, date, going out... Simply EVERYWHERE! The fragrance suits every occasion and doesn't annoy anyone, at least I've never read or heard that anyone was disgusted by it. Season it fits my opinion also to all except at more than 30°C or oppressive/sticky heat/air.

The mostly good ratings here I can share and support all, just a fine and incredibly delicious fragrance and really one of the best women's fragrances I've tested so far. I can also not complain about the price, 150€ for 100ml are completely ok, depending on whether you have a voucher and the value of the voucher, you pay only 100€ for 100ml, so price/performance really top!

Mandarin cake with almonds from the vase
Today I am once again describing a fragrance from a brand that seems to have been named after one of Shakespeare's more famous works, "The Merchant of Venice". The point is that a successful merchant, Antonio, cannot repay a loan he had taken out for a good friend, Bassanio, so that he can get married. And because Antonio cannot pay back the money because his richly loaded merchant ships do not arrive in Venice on time before the loan deadline, he is to die. Well, that's just the beginning of the story.... You're surprised that I know where this piece is coming from, even though I'm tossing so much nonsense here and always seem so stupid? Well guys, I'm educated and read, and so I know exactly how to search Google for short and generally understandable summaries, without ever touching the work, he he he :D

Quite in contrast to the scent here, where I don't know how it smells, but I will test it myself. According to descriptions, it is said to have a seductive and oriental character and be as complex as an opera (hence the actual name of the fragrance is also "Gran Teatro La Fenice, named after the famous open house in Venice). Well, whatever you can imagine, it sounds nice but always :D

The fragrance:
Oooh, the beginning is really heavenly! One smells sweet-powdery vanilla in combination with juicy mandarins, which smell here however rather sweetish than citric. This combination reminds me of a damn delicious, airy light mandarin cake. You know, the airy tartlets with a cream filling (or as you call it :D), a thicker and tastier orange layer on top and a tangerine on top :) Absolutely delicious, very sweet and wonderful!
Then comes a mandeliger smell, which comes surely from the almond blossoms, which smell for me however also like Heliotrop, since these smell also after almonds (I hope this is true, because that would mean that I would know myself finally a little bit with flowers!!) Say it's true, people!! :D). This fragrance also smells wonderful and fits well with the previous fragrance. I don't really smell the tuberoses, but I think that they make the scent so sweet, because you perceive an intense sweetness, which doesn't come from the vanilla, because you perceive the differently scented sweetness of the vanilla anyway and can easily recognize it here.
Later, the mandarin decreases more and more, until it unfortunately smells only very weakly. But that doesn't matter at all, because the fragrance continues to smell of powdery vanilla with great almond notes and sweet, flowery scents. It may be very sweet, but I don't feel the "sticky" scent, by the way.
In the base the cedar is added. In the actual scent you can smell almost only the scents described above and take up the cedar as a "light, woody note" (if at all), but closer to the sprayed place you can see in my opinion that it is cedar wood. A very beautiful fragrance, which smells incredibly great and delicious.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is good, so you can perceive the scent well at one, and not necessarily at close range. Great for all those who like to leave a longer lasting fragrance trail behind!
The scent lasts, well, you can certainly imagine it, seemingly forever. More than fourteen hours are loose in there (because I could smell the scent weakly the next morning!).

The bottle:
As always, the bottle is very beautiful. It has a cylindrical and vase-like shape, which also looks like an artistic lamp due to the semicircular lid. The bottle is metallic this time (or at least looks that way), is apparently not transparent and has a great color gradient from turquoise to gold. The neck is also gold-plated, in which also the brand name was engraved. At the neck he "wears" a golden chain, on which a golden plaque with the name of the opera house is hanging. All in all as mentioned a very, very nice bottle!

Hmm... I kind of had a pretty good feeling about this smell. The presentation (which is actually wonderful with all merchant fragrances) and the great fragrances listed here predicted me an absolutely great fragrance and yes, luckily that's how it came. Well, as "complex" as described in the descriptions I wouldn't necessarily call it so much, and oriental it doesn't smell so much for me either, because I lack scents like spices or something. Instead, it is one of those deliciously sweet-powdery scents, which you could smell in many other scents already, but which almost always smell very great and are for me especially in autumn and winter so-called Immergeher!

Yep, it just fits everywhere. Whether as (slightly less dosed) daily scent on cooler days, or especially in the evening for going out, it always goes, as I said. And it smells sooo delicious! Just at the beginning he reminded me of these great tangerine cakes as mentioned, which of course once again means that I would find the scent of a lady very biting. Okay, although only the top note smells of this delicious cake, but later it is great. That is, I would like to bite one way or the other, and I don't care if certain self-proclaimed jokers... oh I meant "gods" find such sentences embarrassing here, so I sometimes express a little humorously how great the scent is for women, and most of you know such phrases from me :DD

Yeah, I'd really recommend this scent to you women at least try it once. My only criticism, as always, is that the fragrance after the top note is quite similar to other fragrances with vanilla and almonds. But this one comes in a very nice bottle, I only mention that if some of you like me should tend to be so called bottle victims :D

Creamy-milky floral almond-vanilla combination is delicious and simply lovely, but the dense sweetness makes the scent a bit too heavy.
