Is this fragrance worth the price ?
Atlantide I received as a bottling today. The price and the whole design made me so curious about the fragrance that I would like to test this necessarily. A RRP price of 650 € is of course already an announcement. Accordingly, Atlantide must also smell really very noble.
Atlantide opens with an explosion of tuberose followed by the typical Tiziana Terenzi passion fruit. These are so the two main players of Atlantide. After a little over an hour, a few berries make their way through the passion fruit and the tuberose and pull Atlantide on the fruity side. Of all the other floral notes, I can only detect one orange blossom. The base, of course, contains a decent load of musk and some more ambergris, though those notes are primarily used here to fix the more volatile notes.
Now we come to the question that probably all readers most interested is Atlantide worth the price. I can say here quite clearly no, even if the whole design is the madness and Tiziana Terenzi was allowed to let off steam here fully, the content is definitely very good, but no 650€ worth maximum 300€. Here you pay certainly over 50% just for the design and the exclusivity. Of course, in the end, everyone must decide for themselves whether he / she are willing to do this. I personally am not, but for a price of under 350€ I would actually consider a purchase.
I honestly do not understand the name Atlantide here at all. Atlantide is rather wild, stormy and has a typical smell of the sea. Atlantide, however, smells more like a trip to the Caribbean or vacationing on a tropical beach.
I find Atlantide only slightly similar to Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc. Atlantide is definitely an independent and very good fragrance.
The shelf life is over 10 hours. The top note literally sticks to the skin. The silage is also very strong for 5-6 hours, then this begins to fade out and become skin.
