chocolatey rose bomb (no cherries)
I snatched this up for a song, impulsively, without knowing much about it. A bit of a gamble, but the price was right for a gamble.
I'm not disappointed, but I am surprised that there is no cherry note here. And also pleasantly surprised at how natural the rose note smells to me.
Here in one bottle are two types of fragrances that I wouldn't normally wear (a fruity chocolate gourmand and a realistic rose), but together they bring out the best in each other for me, with the emphasis on "for me," as I realize there are many rose afficionados who would sooner douse a chile relleno with ketchup as put a gourmand chocolate together with a natural rose. I think it works for me because the gourmand accord quickly softens and lets the realistic rose dominate from that point on.
Sillage is pleasantly subtle, and it lasts all day. Because of the fresh rose note, I find it suitable for warm weather days.
