The garden of Eden experiences a drought ...
This is my very first experience with anything by Tokyo Milk. The concept has tickled my fancy for some time ... I like the presentation of this line with it's slightly off-the-wall retro feel. I cannot, however, say that I am impressed with this fragrance.
It's probably a situation of 'a book judged by it's cover ...' , and I do find Iris fragrances rather appealing of late. As usual, I could do without the fruit and it also feels as if this 'garden' is in severe need of watering. Eden 03 opens with a lively blast of green, but it is so short-lived that it really feels as if fresh shoots have been quickly withered by an unforgiving sun!
A very powdery Lily/Iris/Musk accord holds sway for an hour and a half or so, staying very close to the skin without very much purpose imho. This fragrance is thankfully over and done with on my skin in two hours tops! I am not saying that it doesn't smell nice ... it does ... I'm just not sure it's worthwhile applying this repeatedly to keep the effect going.
My foray into this house is only just beginning and I have another five or six samples to try ... hopefully I'll find something that'll grab me! The hunt continues ...
