Flowery. Soapy. Dimensional
Tom Ford's reinterpretation of his reinterpretation of the classic Colognes. Neroli Portofino Forte is the Neroli Portofino it once wanted to be: a high-quality, deep and long-lasting cologne.
NPF is one of those fragrances that can undoubtedly be described as multidimensional. With each breath it is as if the individual fragrances were far apart, as if the perfume took up as much space as possible. I smell delicate, fleeting scents as close to me as if they belong to me. And at the same time I hear scents, deep and heavy as lead, as if they were far away. Everyone who knows NPF will know what I mean. Such a room-filling, multi-layered fragrance has seldom come under my nose.
The fragrance itself is as simple as a cologne, comparable to 4711. Absolutely refreshing and soapy - but high quality and not like a simple shower gel. Lots of floral neroli, citrus, herbs. The newly added leather is not recognizable, but clearly it is deeper than the original NP, and it is conceivable that this is due to the leather.
Durability and silage have improved significantly. If some have opted for the latter in NP vs. 4711, NPF is so complex, intense and long-lived that it clearly wins over classic colognes.
The price is exorbitantly expensive and not justified. Even with all discounts and price comparisons you can't get an original under 200€ - and even that's not worth it yet. The purchase should therefore be really well considered, before testing is mandatory. Probably more of a fragrance for TF collectors.
