Same same but different
The fragrance concentration and the white plaque on the bottle are not the only differences between Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum and Ombré Leather Parfum. I will try to describe which version might be the better one for you in the following review.
Ombre Leather is written on it, Ombre Leather is in it, unmistakably and yet Ombré Leather Parfum seems softer and more floral than Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum which is rather harsh in comparison and exudes more "in your face" vibes. Personally, I therefore prefer the striking EdP version, as it emphasizes the leather note more clearly.
Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum is 94% used by male Parfumo members and the same percentage also applies to Ombré Leather Parfum which surprises me a little, because I find the perfume version more unisex due to the softer and floral scent DNA, but this doesn't seem to be reflected in the user numbers.
I would rate the performance of both fragrances similarly, although I had the feeling that the sillage of Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum projected a little further. Nonetheless, I was able to smell the perfume version myself for a full eight hours with four sprays on my neck.
The bottle is an exception in the Tom Ford perfume range and I am glad about it, because it is actually customary at Tom Ford to color the bottle of the perfume versions gold as with Noir Extreme Parfum or Black Orchid Parfum. The decision not to do this and to stick with matt black was the right one, as gold would simply not have suited the fragrance. The only difference to the EdP version is the small white badge on the front.
The price of Ombré Leather Parfum is good and the cheapest offer for 50ml currently costs 105 euros. A very good price for a Tom Ford in perfume concentration. Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum, on the other hand, is already available for €85 for 50ml.
Ombré Leather Parfum is a very good fragrance, but I would recommend that women try it. In my opinion, Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum is the better fragrance because it is cheaper, performs a little better and delivers those dark bad boy vibes that I want from such a leather fragrance.
