In 1920, Salvador Tous Blavi and his wife Teresa Ponsa Mas founded a small jewelry store in Manresa, near Barcelona, with the aim of demystifying traditional jewelry making in Spain. They made innovative jewelry with unusual materials.
In 1965, the son of the founder, Salvador Tous, married Rosa Oriol, and the two combined their talent to find a new language in jewelry making with experience and creativity. In the 70s, they created unique pieces of a very special kind for special clients of the family business.
In the 80's they founded a new strategy for the company, which led to a continuous expansion process, no longer limited to jewelry, but extended to various accessories, such as handbags, watches, perfumes, eyewear, fabrics, leather goods, a men's collection, up to a separate product group for interior design - all under the logo of the little Tous bear. These product areas outside of jewelry now account for a large portion of the company's sales.
Since then, the family business has grown into a large and established jewelry, accessories and perfume manufacturer in Spain. Tous is now a major name, and not just in the world of jewelry.
Tous has made innovation one of the cornerstones of its identity, such as introducing new materials, such as steel, rubber, silicone and plastic in its jewelry creations, and combining them with gold, silver and precious gemstones.
In addition, Tous distributes its own fragrances.
