Mean Bavarian Water
"Freshman" - that's another "Cool Water" clone!!? This is how it usually echoes out of the mouths of the people - but this green aquatic creature, which looks extremely (!) modern and at the same time timeless, is supposed to be 100 already - written out: one hundred!!! - Years earlier. Whatever is true - "Freshman" is exactly my taste. I still love "GIT" and Co., probably forever - so I can't give this British freshman a much worse rating.
"Freshman" has a green-metallic moss vibe just like the very similar bestsellers mentioned, with which it has in my opinion about 90% overlap. Extremely invigorating, just the "cooling" effect. Synthetically pitched high without mercy - but here as an example of how to do it right. Barbershop meets surf, wet shave kisses sea breeze, oak moss takes the stubble chin. Male, masculine, gently macho. Clean and fresher than any shower. Seems to me even more high-class, a little deeper and more real than the Davidoof hit. "GIT" he has to admit defeat, but even that is a neck-and-neck race. And it is, after all, some time of the year (together with "Millesime Imperial") my signature (if you can even talk about it with hundreds of fragrances in your closet). More compliments and respect is hardly possible. Especially if he is said to have really pushed such (similar) fragrances onto the market before the beginning of the 20th century. Then he would even be number one: carefree, practical, noble.
Flacon: classic barbershop looks
Sillage: noticeable, but not to be shortened
Durability: made to measure from the bar - 6-7 hours
Conclusion: for fans of Cool Water, GIT and Co., whose usual bottles are slowly emptying and who want to smell/act a bit more English - "Freshman Cologne" is a modern mossy debutant who doesn't have to hide from his clear cousins!
