The shave of the wood gnome
Hardly any other brand stands more for classic barbershop style from the island than Truefitt & Hill. And "Grafton" is one of their dark green flagships. By the way, almost all of their perfumes stay under 50 EUR per bottle/100 ml - so you can't complain at all!
"Grafton" is a tart, masculine, old-school Fougere. 80s and racier. Dark, but still fresh and mature and mature and open enough. Light leathery undertones give an even more serious touch, the rest is forest and soil. When the release dates of the fragrances (usually older than 100 years! Even if Grafton seems to be more from the 80s) are correct, it is already outstanding and great class. For my personal taste, these British gentlemen have even finer, more fitting, younger, more modern scents for me, but "Grafton" is more than just a successful starting point. Not too violent, not too timid. Moist, musty, almost mushroomy - and yet incredibly attractive and clean. Anything but poisonous or threatening. An all-round successful (old man) fragrance. Between aftershave and afterhour. You just can't buy style. Neither can taste. Or can you?!
Flacon: british bourgeois - but still class
Sillage: the luxurious barbershop for the men's trouser pocket
Shelf life: after 5 hours you already need a truffle pig nose to still smell a lot here
Conclusion: "Grafton" is a green, herbal shaving scent - fresh from the fine undergrowth with leaves, woods and wetness. Old-fashioned, but extremely effective, simple, fine!
