This Is On The Shortlist of Greatness
If I were to review this one, I don’t think there’s much I could add that @Stefangch didn’t say below. He hit the nail on the head to what this fragrance does / how it affects my nose. I got this recently, believe during the Boxing Day sale from Fragrancebuy and I just nearly fell over when I thought “I’m in the mood for Crush on Me.” I nearly fell over because I’ve somehow managed to already put a very noticeable dent in this bottle which just boggles my mind considering how new to my collection is. I was anticipating it would be about level with Akdeniz which I’ve only sprayed a few times considering it hits my nose as more apt for summer, and certainly about level with Beverly Hills Exclusive as I was quite certain I’ve worn them about the same amount of times. What I found was a noticeable lower level of juice to the extent I thought that I must hide this bottle because I need this in my nose’s life for years to come.
This is just so delicious right out of the gate with the like interacting with the ginger, and that dry down bringing one of the most delicious and olfactive pleasing punches from the patchouli, caramel and florals supporting the sweetness of the caramel. I’ve seen some reviewers of late really ripping apart this house and though I only own 3 from Unique’e, I just can’t wrap my mind around the notion of someone smelling this and not being utterly intoxicated. This one is up there in the echelon of the absolute most pleasing fragrances to ever waft toward my nostrils. The only other fragrances that immediately come to mind that strike me on this level of intoxication are Royal Crown’s Sultan and the original Mugler AMen when it was still Angel for Men and was nuclear and very complex and multi-faceted. Perhaps Moresque’s Soul Batik for the notion it hits my nose quite reminiscent of, though not as complex as, Angel. If I had to get rid of my collection and could keep 10 or 20, this one would undoubtedly be staying with me.
Please do understand my expressed bewilderment over the notion of someone not being bewitched by this is rather tongue in cheek. I get, and fully agree, fragrances are pleasing on a subjective basis. I understand fully why some prefer older style more classically French perfumery or complex ouds or name any genre of subgenre of perfumery. This one just knocks me off my feet every time such to the extent I cannot imagine this in my world. I’d never smelled anything quite like this, and I never want to be in a situation where I can’t pull this out for a sniff whenever my heart desires this one. Perfectly and magically delicious!
Edit: thank all that is good in the world. I had to check to see how long I’ve had this and it’s been a few months, not as recently as I thought. This is still going awfully quickly so despite it not being as recently acquired as I thought, it still needs to be hidden away for preservation from my frequent spraying!
