I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight
"Van Cleef" (perfume) is a brute (and not uncontroversial) classic from the early 90s, which could have been on the market decades before. A really loud and screaming DIva. Like a membership card for the Czar's family. Impressive, stuck-up, sexy. A real hum hum hum hum.
A soft oriental chyprelady you just want to fall into. Sensual, protective, cuddly. At least when you shake off your first snootiness. That's pretty fast. Especially when you've got a bit of a cheesy taste like me. It's a cuddly skirt, it's thick, many people call it snobbish. But the golden-pounding heart and the enormous individuality cannot hide this for a second. Glamorous and extroverted like the frozen hell, like a lady spassing from (before) yesterday. Not even too much 90s, not at all in this even creamier and nobler perfume concentration. A glossy scent, for the fat appearance. Everyone looks, a few envy, most marvel and applaud. Raspberry, galbanum, vanilla and ylang yalnag are the big players. But it is a far-reaching composition that is unparalleled, especially in the Tamagotchi decade, and which finds its harmony in chaos.
Flacon: noble, classic, simply beautiful.
Sillage: a curvy monster.
Shelf life: after 6 hours it gets warm, after 9 hours it gets hot and only after 14 hours it slowly runs out.
Conclusion: I don't like to wear furs, especially real ones; Moscow is interesting and beautiful, but too cold; Russia is a fascinating country, but none I would want to live in; Summer I like more than Winter... and yet this decadent, fuzzy Van Cleef & Arpels is cut to my neck. At least if I were a woman. And born 30 years earlier ;-)
