The company Vera was founded by Abelardo Vera Martinez in 1922 and registered in the International Registry in 1948. Manufactured were care products, cosmetics and perfumes.
Vera was present only in a few selected countries, such as Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, except in Spain. Latin America was completely supplied by Vera, with its own production facilities in Chile and Santo Domingo. Smaller quantities of perfumes and cosmetics were exported to the USA in 1962.
The products were intended for the medium and low price ranges. The leading perfumer was José Prat. Some of the few perfumes still known are "Isabel Maria", "Acapulco", "Colonia Vera", "Ventolera", "Rosaleda", "Soir de Printemps ", "Mandalay", "Siglo de Oro", "Fantasia Griega " and "Rose Violette ".
In Alella, near Barcelona, the company, which completely ceased its activities at the end of the 20th century, spread over 1,800 m².
