Never say never...
Sometimes you do things, you're beside yourself and you do things unexpectedly, hard to believe ...

On a small "just-so-sniffing tour" in the perfumery found nothing really interesting or new, at least not where I was hanging around. But at the same time I noticed 2 younger women, but already a bit older than me, who were hanging around in a completely different corner. The picture fit somehow to you, they were dressed for everyday strikingly elegant and I looked at the manufacturer name, which was emblazoned on top: Versace.
*Bling*Bling* makes it with me in front of the inner eye, well, that fits already!

They had been only briefly before somewhere else look, and now they stood there for a while, again and again between 2 perfumes back and forth at change, smell on the wrists, once left, then right again, again left. One had already a perfume in her basket, the other took alternately again and again the 2 bottles, put them back again, waved also again with also sprayed paper strips, they talked, almost discussed, smelled again and again, ...
Finally, she decided on one of the two flasks and they both went to the checkout.

That interests me already, "what the competition" so for good finds, girls, and I remembered the flacon, or better: all both and went so little by little quite inconspicuously over to Versace. What do we have there?
Once it was the EdT and once the EdP, both Chrystal Noir, of course. And since I had not yet tested anything, I first reached for the EdP ... and what then came, was so very different from everything else, which corresponded to my (perceived) Beuteschema, this was a whole new fragrance horizon!

At the beginning kind of spicy, with a soapy coolness, from which the "soap" but quickly disappears. Then it continues floral, carried on a warm, earthy and oriental-ish base - wowww, what a (still cool, warm) elegance is this? (I inevitably imagined it on "her" -) ... and *darn it* > awesome!

This crystal, deeply dark brown, has everything in it, what it must have for even a little bit of a (*Bling*Bling* image) appearance: cool distance, elegance, glamour, but then also Chrystal Noir is so somehow mystical, mysterious, and seems sexy - all together, the whole package! And nothing!, not even the so even apparent *Bling*Bling* has thereby the hint of a negative approach, no no, definitely not!

Chrystal Noir EdP needs absolutely no *Bling*Bling*, it carries many, great qualities quite detached in itself and: it is so somehow ... so incredibly "different".

My new signature scent :-)
I had first the EdT and to it already a comment written.

The curiosity about the EdP increased but from day to day and it rang just the postman at the door and I took the CN EdP.

I find the scents are already very identical, the only thing that struck me directly: the EdP is still a little spicier and more intense! For the winter now so optimal! I like the prelude in the EdT better because of the berries. However, they are very equal in the drydown and have for me something of freshly creamed.

And also here in the EdP I note the non-existent coconut note :-)

These two will be my constant companions and I have definitely found my new signature scent in them :)

So unique, so wicked and one of a kind, the bottle couldn't fit better.

I am heavily in love as you notice and will probably use the two fragrances now until I smell myself "full".

All of me loves all of you
Dear Crystal Noir,

Often I have heard about you, dozens of times I have walked past you in the perfumery, yes, even I have smelled you several times and yet it took until we became friends and lovers.
Meanwhile I ask myself: why did I not see the potential in you right away?

All I can say is, I am more than happy to have reapplied you during another stroll to the perfumery and fell in love - and so right.

At first, you may smell unassuming and plain pleasant to many noses, including my own. But those who get to know you better will come to appreciate your incredible beauty.

You are wonderfully creamy, but without becoming heavy, smells gently of coconut, but even that not too intrusive.
You are so wonderfully balanced in your freshness, softness, creaminess and the floral note, that one can not get fed up with you.
You accompany me after applying the whole day and do not soften from my side, without being too intrusive, but at the same time you are not to be overlooked.
When you surround me I feel good, fresh, awakened and beautiful.

Once with you I never want to be without you again, because I think I will never get enough of you!

Crystals are so beautiful...
A crystal is a beauty,
it occurs in pure purity;
the shine shines like from 1001 nights,
possession gives you pure power.

Created by chemists and ground by masters,
loved by romantics and idolized by free spirits;
Colours and shapes cause mercy,
and in the display case they create bliss.
[...]

A few days ago, when I went shopping in a well-known drugstore and had my paraphernalia together, I didn't miss the chance to visit the scent shelves there. So I first went - as usual - to the fragrances for men and tested one after the other...
All of a sudden it occurred to me that a perfume company (I mean, her name was Lunabella) recently - while looking at my collection - recommended that I try the Versace Versense. This was because we were talking about which "women's" fragrances would be suitable for men as well (I'll lose a few words about this later).

So I took the bottle and sprayed it on a test strip: "Hmm, not so feminine at all, head note pleases already", was my thought.
But right next to the verses I saw a very interesting looking bottle; burgundy reddish with a cap I had never seen before...
"That looks like a crystal," and poof, poof, I saw the name: "Crystal Noir," okay. Makes sense," I said to myself.

Well, spontaneously picked up the bottle and before I opened the cap, I already felt the breath of a saleswoman in my neck and heard: "This is very, very nice, for your wife?"
- "Nah, I'll test it for myself!"
- "Oh, that's great!"
[...]

So I immediately sprayed both my wrists and let him stay for a few seconds... "God, what the hell is that?" I was thrilled with the top note. It is spicy and flowery at the same time, anything but "classically feminine" or something like that. To test the endurance and effect on paper, I also sprayed a test strip and took it home with me.

On the return trip in the car I smelled constantly, and alternately, on my wrist and test strips. It is often the case that scents unfold differently on the skin than on paper or the like. But on both I perceived an identical smell. How happy this made me...
And again and again I closed my eyes and just enjoyed this moment...
Yes, as is well known, we (almost) all close our eyes when we laugh from the heart, dream deep in our sleep, or kiss an important person, because the most beautiful moments can't be seen with the eyes, but felt with the heart... And this is what happened to me with this Crystal Noir...
[...]

Well, actually I had already written a short statement. But when I went back to the drugstore today, I bought a bottle. Not only because the saleswomen there are all very nice, friendly, polite and courteous and really take time for you; also because I would like to support retailers. And if I pay a few euros more for it - compared to online retailers - it plays a subordinate role. Because if I'm run over by a car tomorrow and never wake up again, the few euros more won't bring me much more either...

I have just applied the fragrance at home just for me, am writing this comment and couldn't feel happier to have discovered this crystal treasure for me by chance.
[...]

As mentioned earlier, I perceive the top note as spicy with a slight floral touch. Ginger and pepper are predominant in the opening, but I think the floral notes are not long in coming. The heart of this fragrance is mainly made up of floral notes, such as peony and orange blossom. I don't know much about all the different kinds of plants, roses etc., but at least Rose is clearly visible to my nose. I know this one since I discovered Cartier Déclaration d'un Soir EdT...
And the fragrance in the base becomes an absolute dream. The combination sandalwood and musk are my "bosses" anyway, but in a positive sense. Balsamic-sweet, animal-creamy and slightly powdery they seem to me and especially with these notes you can easily catch me and wrap me around your fingers... And Amber does the rest and provides for the long lasting beguiling character, just like the other two in the
Drydown.

Conclusion:
Again and again I read here in the forum and also recently in my own post there, how some people judge someone without knowing the person or even having seen them. And this only because you wear a fragrance classified for the opposite sex. I always get a feeling of incomprehension and shame for this intolerance when I read some of the articles. And that this gender classification has pure marketing reasons should be clear to everyone at some point...

Anyway, I wear what I like; because I wear fragrances only for myself and nobody else! And I think this Crystal Noir is just beautiful...

Because a crystal is like a marriage: it sparkles and shines, despite its corners and edges.
[...]

And as always, my thanks go to all readers!

Original adult coconut sandy scent without vanilla cookies
I don't usually like anything that's usually described as a "cozy" or "creamy" scent. Either there's a nasty stuffy musk in there, or tons of cashmeran, or it's too sweet, and all of it triggers an oppressive, constricting impression for me that I can't stand to have around my nose all the time. Some of these scents even hit me in the stomach.
The opposite of that is a fresh "pick-me-up" scent - which again has to have citrus, green stuff, or something else sharp or scratchy. Or be summery soapy-fruity.
Until now, I've only known coconut scents as one of those two categories; Crystal Noir doesn't fit into either.

I probably walked past it for a long time because I always had something about "creamy cuddly scent, coconut blah" in the back of my mind, so I checked that one off for myself. The trauma of a bus ride in the summer with four teenagers who generously fogged themselves with Victoria's Secret coconut body spray was probably still too deep. I certainly never needed a coconut perfume again!
Then I was looking for Bright Crystal Absolu a while ago (I liked Bright Crystal, but found it a bit lukewarm in winter and hoped for a stronger version), was once again not found (no tester far and wide, although the fragrance has been on the shelf for months), and sprayed me spontaneously and somewhat frustrated Crystal Noir EdP on one arm and Crystal Noir EdT on the other. I wasn't expecting anything special.

But already the top notes were completely different than expected. Green, berry, spicy and a bit scratchy. In a good way scratchy! The way bergamot sometimes seems scratchy, or that herbaceous note of blackcurrant that many find so nasty, but to my nose smells mostly refreshing. I also directly perceived the coconut, but could already guess that this is not a coconut macaroon fragrance.

A fresh fragrance it is but also not, in the next half hour, namely, a dark sandalwood tone asserted itself, which I usually do not particularly like, but which fits here really well to the coconut. Something cooling, almost coniferous or mentholartiges I would assign the cardamom.
The white flower blend wafting rather in the background.
Dull nutty coconut milk, dull detergent musk, and dull nutty sandalwood oddly make for a darkly clean, woody-nutty scent here that doesn't slay with sweetness and has relatively high recognition.
(Meanwhile, the EdT unfortunately smelled almost entirely like cashmeran, and that's where the similarity ends for me, too! The EdT is not a good substitute, unless you only want the top notes and then smell like fabric softener)
That's how the scent stays too, and for days (!). On my sweater he has easily held 3 days (the arm I have of course washed in the meantime :P).

The pyramid is strange - the smells but mainly coconut, why is not in here?
The fragrance is in a way cloudy-milky and has a certain density, but has nothing in common with sweet cream cocktails, while definitely rather fits into the winter (at most still on a cool early summer evening), but just with me no anxiety or nausea triggers. I haven't smelled anything remotely similar yet. I was a bit surprised, because the fragrance has been around since 2004, and otherwise designer fragrances copy each other all the time. Maybe it didn't fit into the then current fragrance fashion. But for it smells / roch one him just not on every corner, and I also do not fall as with some others from the time (Coco Mademoiselle, Alien) ten acquaintances who have made him the signature fragrance and wear for years daily.

I do not know yet whether it is enough for the wish list - so, I find him already good, and at the same time portable and special, but he also has such a "fragrance of use" touch, and triggers in me no great emotions.

1st spray is J&J’s baby lotion, which I loathe. Given a few mins, the cardamom & ginger bloom over divine gardenia! So glad I kept this.
