Good beginning, generic ending
The fragrance start is lemony, spicy and pleasant and with good projection (about 40 cm). After 10 minutes, the fresh sweet aroma remains, something synthetic. At this point I feel the geranium note, lavender is very light and the projection decreases significantly to about 15 cm. Finally a slight woody smell, very faint. The performance was between 5-6 hours, I have dry skin.

Mature party boy jumps out of his shadow
His image as a party animal still precedes him in a damaging way. Despite his now objectively high qualifications and his outstanding maturity test, which he was allowed to take with Maestro Pescheux, he is still unjustifiably reviled as a loud braggart due to his extroverted origins, which brought him his fame.
However, if you take the trouble to put the party stories from back then to rest and look at him with an open mind, a new picture emerges that is characterized by a truly stylish, appropriate and suave appearance.

Fun and metaphors aside, off to the fragrance...
Versace Eros Parfum still clearly shows its roots. However, Pescheux has succeeded in creating a truly harmonious fragrance in my opinion. It still shows the old cheeky attitude, but now it is much rounder and softer.
Where the Eros EDT is very harsh and loud, the perfume is a decisive nuance softer, which lifts the fragrance into a new hemisphere of versatility.

The mint is much more restrained here, the synthetic apple is apparently completely absent, replaced here by relatively mild citrus fruits. This ensures that the brute loud opening of the EdT comes across a perfect little bit milder here.
The perfume is undoubtedly still sweet. The fruits of the opening and the ever-present vanilla show what kind of spirit this fragrance is. However, the level of sweetness here has been toned down considerably compared to the EdT and comes across as softer.
Lemon and various herbs, whereby the sage and lavender listed here are easily recognizable from the pure impression, give the fragrance a certain freshness but also a pleasant spiciness. The sage note lends the fragrance a certain modernity and gives it a contemporary feel.

In a nutshell, the fragrance character can be described as fresh, sweet and fruity.
Overall, the fragrance has a rounded effect and the notes are harmoniously interwoven without being obscured beyond recognition.

Basically, without smelling the same, this fragrance reminds me of a Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme in its style, direction and range of use as well as its basic character. And at this point I have to take up the cudgels for the Italian: The Versace comes across just as harmonious and high-quality, but has far more rough edges than the overrated Frenchman, which has been smoothed out beyond recognition, simply smells like Berlin bales on fresh laundry, and also turns out to be far more short-winded compared to the Italian.

The performance of the fragrance is solid. the fragrance remains easily perceptible for 4-6 hours. Fortunately, the sillage is not as thermonuclear as that of the EdT, but it is more constant and the perfume seems a little more long-lasting overall. The whole thing fits into what I consider to be the stylish overall picture of a pleasantly mature, high-quality fragrance that does not disregard its roots, but has moved with the times in a pleasant way. I see Eros Parfum as an ultra-versatile fragrance that would not look out of place at any time of year or in any environment.

There is not much to say about the cult bottle, the Medusa bottle is an artistic and creative feast for the eyes despite its undeniable kitsch factor.

The perfume seems to have passed many people by who think they have already experienced everything with the EdT or EdP. As a result, the perfume may become a small insider tip, which, due to its bad reputation in the past, will only be accessible to a truly unbiased clientele.

In fact, I would have hoped for even MORE maturity, a clear edge and differentiation from the EdT, but overall Pescheux has managed to make Eros significantly more valuable here without betraying its basic DNA.

An insight into modern Eros
It's been a long time since I wrote reviews. In the end, I decided to write reviews again, as they had given me joy and pleasure. And as a "comeback" I will start with the Eros Parfum.

My fragrance journey began with Eros Eau de Toilette, a fabulous, nostalgic fragrance in my eyes. However, as we can see, Versace has been screwing things up in recent years with the Eros range. That's when the eau de parfum and the perfume version came out. And the nice clerk in the store slipped me a sample of the Eros perfume on the side and I found this a perfect opportunity to dedicate a review to it.

Sprayed on and off we go,
First of all, you are not overwhelmed by the mint, because the mint is no longer there. That's a shame, but it doesn't break your neck. In the opening (approx. first 20 minutes) you are overwhelmed by this combination. pleasant mandarin, then a synthetic freshness from the possible lemon. In the aftermath, notes play along and these criminals are a mixture of lavender and sage, still a little difficult for me to keep separate. And then about half an hour later, the gentle vanilla comes to the fore and is quite present. And the fragrance marches along at this pace for around 7.5 hours.
So pretty good longevity. Sillage is not weak but also overwhelming.
And despite the beautiful composition, it still lacks that pop, or rather that magical something....

So then it's clear to me that Eros EdT is and remains my favorite.

New Parfum
Eros Parfum is the latest flanker in the Eros family and it doesn't dissapoint. You still get the Eros Dna, but the very young sweet minty smell is exchanged for a more mature smell. Mint is gone in the opening, and it's way less sharp than Eros first formula Edt. My favorite is still Eros Edt vintage but this really smell awesome and lasts forever o skin. Like at least 20 hours on my skin even after showering. Initial notes are still fruity and sweet but is combined pretty fast by a very nice Vanilla note. It's a more smooth and creamy scent. Also lots of woods. All in all it is a good release and I don't find it redundant to have if you also have the edt version or Edp version. Great longevity and performance.

Nothing groundbreaking or to die for
Take it as a grain of salt as I am not as experienced as all those reviewers hheheeh.

80 euros with discount!! Another example of shelves' perfumery. It lacks quality, grace and alarming overpriced. However, with a attractive bottle and all of that...

Fresh and minty that don't go away ( and that is the appealing ) despite of losing these characteristics in favour of ambroxan ( what weariness of note! ) , sweet notes and guess what more... given the rather minimal and abstract feeling of it. Maybe geranium, patchouli...

In spite of being a trite scent it isn't unpleasant. It lasts a good amount of hours. Moderate projection, no beast mode.

Unnecesary releasing to try to get our minds anxious about.... mediocrities in the end.

Like the rest of the line, the Parfum smells like an awful synthetic mess with an overdose of sweetness. There is no mint and less vanilla.

Very smooth version, with candy spice opening. The dry down is very well blended and where this shines with vanilla bringing it together.

It smells like greasy skin mixed with peppermint. Wearing this makes me feel the opposite of clean. Me and this scent will not be friends.

Parfum what? It smells just like the edt, only smoother on the rougher edges. Performance seems to be also the same, nothing groundbreaking.
