Where to start...
The first thing to mention to someone who knows nothing of this fragrance, or perfume in general: this is not your everyday, drugstore fragrance. Narcos'is, in my opinion, stands in a category of its own even among some niche fragrances.

Vertus really created a masterpiece of a sweet, spicy and mysterious scent, that dries down so nicely with an amazing opening. The mango and peach notes really set it apart as they aren't used so often and the coffee, rhubarb and cardamom opening make for a very interesting combination. Overall, the scent you get from Narcos'is will absolutely make people wonder what you're wearing.

It is pricey, yes, but for the money you pay, you receive a worthy item. I always compare fragrances to food when speaking to someone that doesn't know that much about them: if you pay for a $500 meal, that meal better be the best you've ever had. Personally, I find that certain $500 'meals', *cough* Aventus *cough* just don't give you what you payed for.

I can, however, say with absolute confidence, that Narcos'is by the house of Vertus not only delivers for its price range, but overperforms what you pay for.

I feel the rotten strawberries
When this smell is first squeezed, it resembles a smell reminiscent of the heat emitted by the plastic console of a car that has been waiting for hours under the sun. This fragrance is definitely due to "Rhubarb". It smells like the seeds of a large red pepper. Both bitter and sour.

At this point, the tone, which is both bitter and sour, takes on a tone close to the scent of thorny and wild plants. Yes, it really does smell like marijuana.

After the first 10 minutes, the sharpness of the smell fades and it starts to smell like strawberries or mango fruits that are about to rot. I'd like to point out that it's about to rot because the smell isn't exactly sugary.

After a little more time, the pungent smell gets lighter. Only the fruity and bitter chocolate-like sweetness smell is evident.

It smells like mashing rotting strawberries and mango fruit blended with thorny wild herbs (marijuana) and pouring it over a stale chocolate and letting it sit.

Projection: It can be felt from 3-4 meters. 8/10
Longevity: stays on the fabric for up to 5 days. 9/10
Sillage: when you leave a room, some of the smell stays in the room. 8/10

A still life from...............
Rhubarb, tangerine, mango and peach - I would like that. But no, always only grapes, apples and pears, very modern pictures maybe with pineapple and kiwis. I've never seen rhubarb there. Probably the painters know that rhubarb is botanically considered a vegetable.

Narcos is is a wonderful fragrance, a coffee scent with fruit - oriental and exotic. May not sound as good as it actually is. The combination of coffee, the tart rhubarb, tangerine and a pinch of cardomom is successful. You don't have to imagine eating the rhubarb compote, you have to smell it. Because it tastes more sour than it smells. In addition, there are mango and Pfrisich. Whereby the peach goes down a bit for me, but that doesn't make the scent worse. Through the vetiver it gets what nutty and amber gives sweetness.
But it's not just simple Rharbarer, it smells like you have this also caramelized. The whole thing feels, similar to Colognise, as if the fragrance molecules rolled into the nose - so creamy I feel this mixture.

This fragrance goes in the direction of Erba Pura/Gold, Cassiopea or also Pink Molecule and La Danza delle Libellule - fruity halt. I feel him as unisex and durability and sillage are good. The only thing I don't like is the atomizer. No fine mist wets my skin, is rather as if the fire extinguisher would abruptly extinguish the skin.

I wear the fragrance now for the third time. Not immediately I found him so nice and round.

Quite unique - more so than I was even expecting by looking at the oddly paired notes. I find it enjoyable. Not sure I want a FB though.

Get Oud for Happiness and add to it a juicy mango and a bunch of powdered coffee. Very particular and niche-y.

Unusual but beautiful blend of tart dark coffee with a dash of spicy cardamom and fresh, sour rhubarb. Woody vetiver, ambergris in the base.
