A green giant
Silvestre by Victor is part of the big three green fragrances released in 1946. The other two being Pino Silvestre and the mighty Acqua Di Selva. All are fantastic. This is an Italian fragrance that came after world war 2 and was big for a few decades but sadly is just about non existent now. Prices for this fragrance is ridiculously high mainly because it's not easy to find. Splashing it on you are immediately transported to the nearest forest and it's like being there after the rains in the early morning. A beautiful scent very reminiscent of it's brother Acqua Di Selva. Very similar indeed and sadly the longevity is nothing to write home about. I'd love to see these Italian masterpieces come in a Parfum version but this was made to be a cologne. Very manly and a refreshing departure from the sickenly sweet feminine fragrances that are supposed to be for men. This society that we are living in now is an embarrassment of epic proportions and i wish i could just hop into a time machine and just get the hell out. Bring back tbe men and fragrances like tbis. PLEASE!!!
