My Raffaelo Moment
I've had some great scent loves, but when it comes to sweets, there can only be one for me: Raffaelo. The melt-in-your-mouth coconut cream, the crunchy almond center - and this dreamlike advertising scenario. How I would love to be the blonde beauty in the white dress, who gets to enjoy Caribbean flair and coconut creations all day!
In search of my perfect summer fragrance, I have long been looking for exactly this Raffaelo feeling. Unfortunately in vain. As beautiful as I smelled of coconut, the fragrances put me but at most at the local bathing lake - nothing with luxury vacation on the turquoise sea.
But then, one beautiful summer day, I happened to fall into the hands of a mini of Very Sexy Now 2014. One spray and I could practically hear the airport announcement: Flight A123 to Aruba, ready for take-off.
The amazing thing is that Very Sexy Now doesn't actually smell like Raffaelo tastes. This coconut ball is more tangy than velvety. Creamy, but not cream. Sweet, but not candy. I smell delicious coconut milk and fruit, juicy and with tingling acidity. And yet, the scent instantly conjures me to a Caribbean beach. Top styled, I lean back on my lounger, let a Raffaelo melt in my mouth and bask in the admiring glances of others.
The only thing holding me back from a permanent Caribbean vacation: My personal coconut dream is unfortunately a limited edition and nowhere to get more. So I guard the last drops like a treasure - and only let me kidnap in paradise when I suffer from acute summer deprivation.
