Good enough fortune, I guess
Designer pillar releases in the 2020s seem to follow a pattern. So many of them consist of very sweet, fruity-tinged white florals and a vanilla base. It's as common as the fruitchouli/gourmand trend was in the 2010s.
Viktor & Rolf follow this theme with Good Fortune. The jasmine here is prominent, but not very defined, it smells more like a general perfumey white floral scent. The vanilla is nice, sweet and warm, though more on the bright than the deep site of vanilla. I've read some reviews where people mentioned they didn't smell the fennel at all, but I do. It adds a nice anise-like, vegetal twist to the opening, which I find quite enjoyable combined with the sweeter notes. Unfortunately it doesn't last for long, and what you're left with is a generic vanillic floral. It's not as screechy and high-pitched as some others from this genre, but not very special either. Fine. Nice. Pleasant. And that's it.
All in all I prefer Flowerbomb or Bonbon over this by far, I have to admit I'm more of a gourmand than a floral girl though.
