Super beautiful and totally under the radar
I really like Amber Gold. This Xerjoff is under the radar, but like some others it is really beautiful and for me it also has something special about it.

The fragrance starts for me with bubblegum vibes. I've only seen one comment where someone said the same thing.
At first I thought I was the only one getting bubblegum vibes in my nose. The orange blossom also comes through relatively quickly for me, as well as a spicy note.
I also actually detect a kind of tobacco, as well as something slightly floral.
I don't know what a tobacco blossom smells like, but I could imagine that it is responsible for this.

The longer the fragrance lies on the skin, the more I can also detect slightly smoky notes. But these are really subtle.
You can also feel this slightly earthy patchouli, but it never becomes too strong because the sweet impressions from the start are still slightly present towards the end.

I didn't really have high expectations of this fragrance and was all the more pleasantly surprised.

The performance is great, by the way. Amber Gold lasts 8-12 hours on me, sometimes with just a small spray.

It also projects well.
Here and there, you can always perceive it really well around you.

radiant/ spicy/ warm...
I've already made a statement but this fragrance definitely deserves a review in my opinion. I am already the proud owner of Amber Star & was therefore very excited about Amber Gold; is it as great as its brother? I can answer this question with an unequivocal YES. It is radiant & spicy and had that beautiful warmth and most importantly, that attraction. The scent starts fresh with tangerine and strong spicy, that must be the coriander. The worthiness carries through the whole scent but becomes more subtle. Accordingly, it already has a freshness at the beginning. Through the heart notes, it then becomes much warmer and softer and it also becomes slightly floral. Together with the heart notes it forms a beautiful interplay! I really like the orange blossom. The color of the juice reminds me of amber and I think it's a great match for the fragrance. It's not for every day; its fresh notes in the opening make it super wearable in spring or fall. (Of course, you can wear a fragrance whenever you want to) This scent has me hooked! I am crazy about it. It smells irresistible on my boyfriend and when I wear it I feel rich, because these precious drops are not cheap either. It makes me dream every time and sends me on a beautiful journey. A really great creation for my nose

Is Xerjoff copying Chanel?
This question may sound quite provocative, but I'll come to this later, because I didn't recognize this connection myself until after a while of testing.

With Amber Gold, Xerjoff did not create a heavy amber scent, but a light, friendly one, which I would classify as elegant and unisex with a tendency towards stereotypical feminines. Two notes stand out right in the top note: the orange blossom, which succeeds in creating a delicate and powerful effect at the same time, and the coriander, which in combination evokes the association of star anise (see Kankuro's statement). I don't think of orange blossom as a banal white bloomer, because it often carries a note that I would describe as chewing gum sweetness. (At least since Le Male we all know that men can also wear such an unusual touch.) The hay-like tobacco blossom also adds a slightly green facet, but the most exciting thing is yet to come.

Amber is not known to be a certain note, but rather a chord consisting of different resins, mostly in combination with vanilla. I wonder why neither one of these notes, nor Amber, is listed here, because both the vanilla aspect in Amber Gold is obvious to me, as well as the light, resinous impression left by Benzoe. Because of the interplay of these notes with a soft, earthy patchouli, I feel strongly reminded of Chanel's Coromandel. The Eau de Toilette of the same is for me one of the best and most elegant Patchouli perfumes.

The difference that Xerjoff makes clear here is in the brighter orientation. Orange blossom gets plenty of room to unfold to give Amber Gold, unlike Coromandel, a strong floral accent. Patchouli, on the other hand, is used more sparingly. This is why Amber Gold has an optimistic, spring-like aura with a certain lightness. Only for the summer the sweetness should be a little too present.

Fresh opening with orange and coriander. Then it gets floral, sweet, almondy with a hint of tobacco. In the base, amber, patchouli and musk.

Initially bright spicy-fruity, this sweet and creamy, floral-oriental Mid season fragrance, settles to a gentle dry earthy-woody base.
