Xerjoff his lost - forgotten and overlooked masterpiece! / I let myself be dazzled...
Hello everyone,
almost 1 1/2 years ago I was visiting a buddy and we were looking through the almost 80 samples at his place and there was also the Sixth Floor ... i knew it by name and also by its remarkable appearance, so we smelled it and my buddy told me in advance its price of just under 635€ (roughly) + current customs (as UK Harrods exclusive).
I smelled 1x, 2x and that was it.... - it turned out to be a really HUGE mistake, but this view only came about recently, because at the beginning of February I received a sample of Sixth Floor from a user here with the urgent request to test it...
I don't just test fragrances once, twice (just as an aside) and yes, it arrived - testing and what I experienced was more than a Bud Spencer whistle...!
In the top note we have a very authentic and high-quality combination of blood orange, ginger and other citric notes and this top note also stays quite long (approx. 20 minutes)
When I read Jasmin - Sambac I am the first to look for the WIDEST, because I can't stand this note at all health-wise, I get shortness of breath and am allergic. So there are ONLY 2 options. Either it is purely synthetic or it is not this particular variety at all.
Now we come to the heart and base notes of the fragrance and the magical part for me, a part that is a true masterpiece for me and I'll tell you why!
The citrusy top notes in combination with the heart note create the impression / it becomes soapy and this stage lasts for a little eternity, if we are talking about time, then very smoothly from 4h to 5h and in the base note the next twist!
After 5h to 6h it becomes majestic and pleasant (due to the amber) and then it gets crazy (!) out of NIX comes a subtle chocolate note with a touch of light delicate tobacco, so I didn't see that coming. And we're not quite finished (!), the fragrance develops a little differently for each person (possibly a skin thing) and it ALWAYS takes a different course for me - in terms of time!
Sometimes more creamy, sometimes more soapy, sometimes more citrusy and sometimes the base note is more pronounced...
How to implement something like that here - no idea,
but I find it very exciting ;)
Let me put it this way,
if I see a leftover bottle (or someone offers it to me)
and I could get it for a fair price, I would be very
probably not averse to it.
If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you! (You can try it, but only buy a bottle... if you have the necessary money)
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
