Lavender-leaning powdery floral
I love the lavender note. Some associate it with older relatives and underwear drawer liners, but to me it is a comforting, slightly powdery, almost inexplicable faint scent that softly clings to clothing and never fails to put me in the right mood.
Yardley's 2015 Lavender EDT is no lavender fragrance from Provence, but the intermingling of Lavender with Geranium and Jasmine to form a powdery, creamy scent that takes an almost aromatic turn with those calming notes of Chamomile and Sage, it never gets herbal, but rather smells like a sharp, green floral in the opening, and a powdery floral in the dry-down.
It is interesting, performs as an EDT should and if you overspray, I promise that your scent bubble will bring comfort not only to you but to those opportune to pass by you.
Note that this review is not for the 125 year anniversary Lavender EDT formulation. That one is a different kettle of fish. Do not tackle this fragrance if you are not in admiration of powdery fragrances, nostalgia or not.
