Hello, noses! Welcome to my latest fragrance commentary. This time I sniffed at Yves Rocher's Thé Vert of 2019. And as you can tell from the name, it is once again a tea fragrance, namely a green tea fragrance, of which there are now also more fragrances than sand by the sea :D
But that does not matter, because well-made tea scents I always like to smell. Although green tea scents are not necessarily my favorites among the tea scents, but still I find these also quite nice, especially in summer, because they can quickly refresh you on hot days and of course in most cases also smell good.
Now it is still a little cool,... oops... argh, I just see that I had written my text here in APRIL,... and at that time it was just still cool and it had even snowed in some regions!!! (Of course,... there is never a white Christmas, but the main thing is still snowing in April, tss... :D). Anyway, the text was lying around here for a long time, no idea why, but now that the weather is getting warmer and warmer and the next heat waves are surely not far away, it's certainly fitting to describe such a scent now. After all, we know one thing very well about tea scents: they can refresh very well on hot days, and yes man, that's actually true, unless you've caught a wintry tea scent, but then that's your fault :D
Better trust me and you'll be on the safe side... once in a while anyway, he he :D
The scent:
The scent starts with green tea and lemons. Everything smells very authentic here, meaning the lemon is fresh and juicy and naturally citrusy, and the green tea smells tart as in real. The scent is like a mix of the ready-brewed tea and the scent of the dried tea leaves.
Even later, it smells mainly of tart green tea and lemons, with the intensity of all the scents steadily decreasing as time goes on. And that's it, the scent does not change at all and remains as it begins. All a little unspectacular, but still quite nice.
The sillage and the durability:
The fragrance is an eau fraîche, so you can't have high expectations when it comes to sillage. If you do not stand very, very close to a person who has applied this fragrance, you will not smell him so at all. As a result, the longevity isn't the best either, but there are worse things. The fragrance here holds out even after all three to four hours on the skin, even if he smells quite weak at the later hour.
The bottle:
The bottle is clear and cylindrical. You can see a large green label surrounding the bottle. On the label you can see a picture of a tea plant (so camellias,... I'm assuming), which you can use to make green tea, among other things (so with the plant, not the label of the bottle... :D). The lid is cylindrical and seems to be milky. All in all, quite simple and somewhat unspectacular, but still okay.
Conclusion:
So, that was Thé Vert by Yves Rocher. And he is very, very simple turned out, because much more than green tea and lemon you do not smell here in this fragrance. Therefore, this fragrance is also like all other fragrances of this kind less suitable to apply them, for example, to go out, but more so for hot days, where you can use them especially for refreshment several times a day.
Because for a short moment it does just on really hot days really good, you get the feeling to be able to breathe better again, because you forget for a moment the oppressive heat or do not perceive. The fragrance belongs to the category of fragrances like the 4711 series, which was designed more for refreshment. All simple but fragrant colognes (or eau fraîches). Price-wise, the fragrance here from Yves Rocher is also quite good, as it costs so around 15 euros, for 100 mL, which is a pretty good price, I think.
There's nothing more to say about the fragrance. All who like tea, can risk here so times a look, and all who do not like tea,... well, those is anyway no longer to help :D
