Incense for Mediation, Inspiration, or for enhancing Relaxtion
It's been almost a year since I own this precious little juice, which seems to be discontinued right now. Among affordable incense fragrances, Zara Incense turned out unexpectedly well. I came across it during last year winter sold and luckily I bought 2 bottles for less than 10€ each!
If you like incense fragrance, you have found your source for any and all types, kinds, and varieties of Japanese incense, Indian incense, Tibetan incense as well as pure resin incense, essential oils, white sage, smudging herbs and much, much more... this one deserves a try. Not just for the powerful note of the frankincense, but for the spectacular explosion it makes when blended with amazing rhubarb. Frankincense has a very distinctive dry but fruity, spare but piquant quality. The smoke from this resin incense does indeed have the exotic purity and single-mindedness of an ancient fragrance.
Hence, let me introduce you to Zara Incense. After I sprayed it on my chest, neck, and wrists, an inebriating aura wrapped my body, and I got lost like I was shrouded in a mystifying place.
The opening is citrusy, I got a soft breeze of mandarin orange, which lasts several minutes. It was pleasant, tangy and not too zesty, and immediately bitter. As soon as the citrus Aurantium aroma soothed, something peppery and fresh spicy fired up, I surmise it is the nutmeg note, which opened towards the heart of the fragrance: the magnificent rhubarb.
Oh man, I would like to point out that in this blend the scent of rhubarb is fresh, fruity and bittersweet, with a pleasant sour nuance and sweet red berries note. I don't think you can imagine how much the rhubarb, dreadfully tart, and refreshing flavor, sour with strawberry facets and a definite earthy note too, pairs very well with the incense, incredibly peppery citrus top and woody balsamic, smoky, and resinous base. I feel it adds a uniqueness to the scent that's unmistakable.
That mysterious blend, like the halo shining around you, lasts for several hours. Perhaps the projection is quite weak, though the longevity is above the average. I adore incense, I think it lends a lift to citrus and green fragrances and brings softness to oriental blends.
In my opinion, ZARA Incense is an aromatic-spicy fragrance, urban and extremely chic fragrance that makes a masculine signature. It is modern and much better than some expensive brands. Right now, I am not able to compare it to a similar scent. I recommend this for cooler conditions like fall and winter, both during day and evening. Given that it is not overpowering can be safely worn at work, sillage stays close to your arms. On my skin, longevity is above the average, an exceptional fragrance. To me, this scent deserves a full 8/10.
