What San Francisco City Would Smell Like If It Were As Similar As This Scent
ZARA San Francisco is an aroma highlighted by a bouquet of aromatic, sweet, and woody scented tones that will bring a sensual, calming, and fresh perfumed sensation. Examining it closer once applied, you will notice a lingering quality of softer green, powdery, and balsamic hints that hide the essence of stimulating a warm and bright feel.
The scent is an oriental-aromatic-floral-woody fragrance to the nose, and it is a sensual and enveloping fragrance that combines masculine notes with a mix of florals underneath. It is exquisite and sophisticated and reminds me of YSL l'Homme in the overall vibe.
The difference is the opening of San Francisco is sharper, it opens up on my skin with a gentle, yet big blast of unusual citrus, sweet, and green notes including Chinese yuzu, green rhubarb, a peppery note. Besides, an aromatic-resinous tone not mentioned in the pyramid yet detectable, similar to basil, sage, or rosemary herb. If there was bergamot in there, I bet it would give it the creamy, cozy, and powdery facets that complete the top notes. The luscious vanilla, supposedly to be in the base, pops up and stands up from the very first whiff.
Soon enough, the woody and white floral heart notes blend in with good jasmine, violet bloom, rosy-like smell more similar to the supreme rosewood, and a mix of blond woods, cedarwood, and sandalwood to mention a few. According to the notes listed on the box, the heart is sweetened with orange blossom, a supplementary candied note that does not make it cloying, instead it adds elegance and brightness to it. At his stage, the scent gets a little more sweet, creamy, and floral tones, I'm not sure if it's the scent or my skin.
The dry down is plenty of deep moss, amber, and powdery notes with overstanding sensual vanilla. More, a nice touch of animal musk, and a right tad of smoky olibanum that counterbalance the sweet vanilla. San Francisco is another impressive release from ZARA with a bit artistic and elegant approach. Besides, even in the base, this scent seems a bit smokier and woodier than YSL l'Homme.
Longevity is above average, about seven more hours on my skin. Even sillage and projection are moderate, especially the first hours, then the scent stays close to the skin. I recommend wearing this creamy and powdery juice at the office in springtime. Targeted for men, I can see both men and women using this, feels elegant and not aggressive at all.
It is what San Francisco city would smell like if it were as similar to this scent.
