Great scent poor performance!
Well, as with many Zara fragrances Man Silver and Man Gold are both poor performers (even by Zara standards). I purchased these fragrances in a two pack, and while I'm not disappointed with the smell of either the Man Silver or Man Gold, both are poor performers. After an hour it's a skin scent and then they completely disappear after three hours. I'm wondering, when both Zara Silver and Gold were first released, if perhaps they were better performing? I knew I would like Man Gold (based upon the notes); but didn't know if I would like Man Silver. I really enjoy both scents. One is sweet and gooey and the other is light, floral and woody. There's nothing more I can say that hasn't already been stated in previous reviews.

Mailbox scent
On parfumo I got to know a word that I have never heard before: Mailbox scent. It's obviously a perfume that one quickly throws up when one doesn't want to just go off. It has to be effortless, handy and without worrying that it might be empty one day. Still, it should be great enough that others nod when you walk by.

So this scent is a mailbox scent. You spray it on and rush down the stairs, and a sporty freshness spreads in the hallway that should not displease anyone. If the postman is still standing around downstairs, he thinks to himself: Aha, a shower has been taken here. When the older neighbour from the ground floor stands in the doorway, she mumbles: Finally, the cleaning brigade. And the children on the bobby car are smiling because an aquatic super grobi has just passed them by
It is forbidden to want to locate a pyramid of scent, because it is the purest of synthetics. When the people from the Zara marketing department came into the laboratory and raved about "lemon", "cyclamen" and "orange blossom", the white coats laughed themselves to death. Yes, their glasses steamed up and they had to wipe the tears from their eyes. "Cardamom!" Ha-ha-ha. "Amber!" Ha-ha-ha-ha. "And here, look out: PATCHOULI!". HAHAHAHAHA!

Still on the way home they giggled, so that the people at the bus stop shook their heads helplessly.

But wait, mailbox people. There's nothing wrong with the smell. It's silvery fresh, lemony cheerful, and spreads a tickling nautical all around you in the colors of the old Fa advertising. Just azure soap. And he has an amazing projection. Also the durability is so good that it holds loose until the DHL messenger, who rings annoyed in the afternoon and curses the 3rd floor, even if it smells so controlled-clean there.

By the way, the guys in the lab would never spray themselves with that scent. They know that what soups around in their steel vats is just an odorous compromise for impulse buyers. The guys from the marketing department, on the other hand, like to spray themselves in the evening with the test bottles they took away. "Cyclamen and orange blossom," they say. "That's really good."

There is a guilty pleasure in being a Guilty deceitful imitation
To begin with, there are pretty three different Zara scents named Silver: Silver, Man Silver, and For Him Silver respectively. The one I am gonna review today is Silver, which is classified as an aromatic fougère and lists fragrance notes of lime, lavender, orange blossom, neroli, cedar, sandalwood, and amber.

Zara Silver opens up very fresh, cheerful, and modern with a blur of notes. I can clearly smell, all at once, sweet lime mingled with lavender and enchanted with some sweet floral orange blossom and accents of pink pepper. These notes are sheer. There’s a hint of ozone freshness and sports fragrance herbal-menthol as the cologne develops, and these aromas make me think of “masstige” teen body washes... The word masstige is a blend of the words mass and prestige and has been described as "prestige for the masses." But perhaps that’s on purpose because Zara Silver is targeting the elusive social-networking consumer, a much-sought-after and slippery target that the perfume industry hopes can help revive its waning appeal.

As the fragrance progresses, white flowers with dominant orange blossom become stronger with a nice touch of clean and a bit bitter neroli, and a warm woody accord makes its appearance. Creamy cedar and sandalwood are mixed with patchouli, which is so tame here that even those who dislike this note will be able to wear it easily. None of its more pungent, rich and animalic aspects are present here. Overall, the fragrance smells nice, when the amber comes in.
The base is more cedar than patchouli. I can detect a hint of slightly ambery vanilla, but it's not listed in the notes. So, the drydown is all about woody, floral, and moderately sweet and I get some woodiness, amber, and flowers. I like it because it is easy to wear. Worth it if you see it for just 15€.

Zara Silver is a versatile fragrance, which can be used easily in the cool and cold weather, day or night. I think most of the people don't like the fact that this fragrance is quite linear. No big surprises, not really a deep, complex scent but the beauty is in its simplicity. This juice does the "job" well, for seducing people and get attention with a nice, fresh smell!
It's masculine, sexy, warm, and lasts pretty long on my skin, and it won't choke people around you. Anyone who smells this fragrance on you will come closer to smell it better. And that's what you want, right? I am kidding, but it is a compliments getter, seriously.

Well, if you are anything like me, and love Gucci Guilty, you just might be giving a chance to this jewel without prejudice.

This review bases upon a 100ml (3.4 Fl. oz) I own since April 2016.

Geez, I am seriously geeking out right now! A cleaner and sweeter adaptation of GUCCI Guilty, but quite longer lasting than GG. I adore it!
