A day in Mexico...
The packaging already shows us two quotes. Once one of the perfumer to the structure of the fragrance and one about Mexico City.
The city is described as energetic, boundless and universal.
Admittedly, I've never been to Mexico City (yet), but you know it's a city whose size we in Europe don't even begin to know. Certainly that alone makes it a restless, hectic contemporary.
The scent does exude hecticness at first, but I think that's exactly why it fits in this loud, warm environment. It's definitely a summer scent, clearly bringing "a colorful cocktail of strawberry and rhubarb [...] contemporary green-woody freshness". It makes you think of ice cream, cocktails, merriment, vacation, beach...a beach party in Cancún or a Saturday dinner with friends at Mexico City's hippest spot.
Flashy? Yes
Striking? No.
Does this contradict each other? Not necessarily.
Although a mixture of fruits shoots up your nose at first, over time this "green-woody freshness" calms the noisy city. It becomes less urban and more rural, more level-headed.
