The voice in the back of your head
I recently wrote a statement about this fragrance here.
So what short, concise. I was of the opinion to Fleur d'Oranger there is not too much to say. Is just such a cheap Zara perfume, you do not buy because the fragrance is so brilliant, but because of the price....or like me, you order it blindly because you do not take a big risk if it then proves to be a grip in the toilet.
So, the statement is written....and I have now somehow the feeling that I still have something to say. So comes a short comment afterwards....
He starts summery, delicate floral and I like what I smell. For the price, the fragrance is yet fully in order and I'm happy. Thanks to Parfumo I can finally read fragrance pyramids. Is like cooking...I read a recipe and yet I know beforehand how the finished dish then tastes, whether it tastes good to me. Mostly.
And in this case, something is different. After the expected beginning, the top note appealing to me peeps through after an hour something pungent...and I suddenly have the voice of my sister in the back of my mind.
We have an absolutely different perfume taste, and I hate it when she says the following sentence to me:" This smells like toilet stone!"
Really now, I find such comparisons always somehow inappropriate....why do so many people actually hang themselves toilet stones in the toilet if they smell so unpleasant? Or bathroom cleaners. My cleaning products all smell good, otherwise I could use them but not at all without the I can no longer feel good at home.
But well, this sentence is now firmly anchored in my brain, again and again I sniff my wrist and I smell superficially a beautiful, delicate fresh scent, which becomes synthetic and slightly pungent out the back.
After all, Jo Malone created this perfume for Zara, and surely she wouldn't make her perfume smell like cleaning products?
Well great, now that I no longer know how to find the fragrance I decide to ask my husband.so I sneak up on him and ask bluntly whether he finds the my perfume smells like a perfume or rather after toilet stone and his answer was shocking, because he gave my sister right. A small consolation was that he could hardly detect it. However, he has also sniffed only after 5 h wearing time on me and from therefore I must correct my statement....for such a cheap fragrance I find 5 hours then but quite acceptable.
So, I still find that he has a nice, delicate top note, he is a hybrid of beautiful fragrance and toilet....light 4711 vibes and then something is wrong with the orange blossom. From there the scent doesn't change either, it just gets weaker....
Am thinking of sending it to my sister ;-)
