Nice, fairly balanced, affordable freshie
Authenticity Perfumes is a Virginia-based house I only learned of recently before ordering a sample pack of the then-4 available samples (1 new one has since been released). For me, it always feels logical to start with the scent named for the house.
On my skin, Authenticity is a citric, fresh spicy mix with a bit of an ambroxan / floral background. As the note listing suggests, the citrus effect is a mix—not one citrus in particular over others—and the rosemary is very apparent from the onset, as well, with the jasmine, patchouli, woods, and what seems to be an ambroxan / musk mix lying in the background. Primarily, it’s the citrus/rosemary mix that stands out.
Overall, Authenticity is quite nice, sort of a fresh unisex (albeit slightly masculine-leaning) signature scent that leans more toward warm weather wearing, but like many in the fresh or semi-fresh category, is perfectly appropriate for any situation. The dry down is fairly subtle and as the citrus fades, it’s a bit of a mix of woody musky mix more so.
Its performance is good, and its pricing/concentration is $50 for 100ml EDP. Currently it’s labeled as being sold out but available on backorder.
