Slightly minty fresh barbershop fragrance
Barbershop is my fourth try from the VA-based Authenticity Perfumes, and it’s certainly unlike most barbershop fragrances I’ve tried. It’s fresh with some citrus and woods, but there’s a vaguely minty/tingly/menthol-type concept, perhaps due to the mix of sweet basil and fir. The minty/tingly aspect fades within a couple hours, though, and it becomes a bit of synthetic citrus/woods/musk mix in the dry down.
The pricing for Barbershop is similar to the rest of the line, $40 for 60ml in parfum concentration—reasonable for the fragrance. I’d probably rank it similarly to Authenticity, with L’Homme Riche as my favorite.
